  1. I'm not sure if it's the Cubs hitters or Miller not being as sharp today, but he's been pretty hittable.
  2. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 09:31 PM) that call to guyer was absolute bulls***. Then he wouldn't give that call to Miller one inning later.
  3. Lindor is so good.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) Miller 1 more then Allen? Absolutely. Miller basically pulled an el Duque. Even got the third out on 3-2 on a check swing.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) Bulls starting 5: Rondo Wade Butler Gibson Lopez no comment. Mirotic has to get his s*** together if this team wants a shot of being a playoff contender. He and McDermott are the only floor spacing options we have that will get significant minutes.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) I can't ever really hold too much against the Cubs because their run in 2003 was what got me paying attention to baseball again for the start of the 2004 season. I wasn't rooting for them then or now, but I do have to give them at least that much credit. Their run in 2003 is what made me hate them in the first place.
  7. Indians have to win today. They can't afford to lose a Kluber start.
  8. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 11:51 PM) http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/1484370...al-chicago-cubs Dexter Fowler is on this team via Free Agency. Yeah, because they offered him a QO and he declined it at first. Then he re-signed after he couldn't get a deal done with Baltimore.
  9. What a crazy game in Arizona. Maybe they need some new turf in that stadium.
  10. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 10:33 PM) Feel your pain. "You must be happy that the Cubs are doing well..." s*** I hear on the softball fields here in Austin while wearing my 83 Sox hat.
  11. You know what this reminds me of? The NBA Finals.
  12. I sat Ajayi for McCoy. I probably still would have lost had I started Ajayi instead. My opponent's team went wild.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 21, 2016 -> 05:45 PM) I'm wondering how though. How much power can that thing possibly have if it's portable? What's the transition like from portable to TV? Are you running a low-res version of the game when it's portable and then it goes HD when it's hooked up to your TV? I want to know what the difference is because unless there is an up-res thing going on with the TV dock, the games will have to be made for a portable device. Either that thing is going to be crazy expensive (not likely knowing Nintendo) or it's going to be crappy versions of games like NBA 2K17 (shown in the trailer) just so it can run on the portable. If there is some tech boost going on when it's plugged into the TV does that mean games will run like crap or be missing features when portable? All valid concerns. We'll find out when more details come out about the hardware. I know Nvidia is making the SOC for the console.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 21, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) But since you are a hillary supporter, are you able to tell me all of the bad things Hillary did at the dinner? I just dont trust her, she is crooked and i know she did a lot of bad things at that dinner and nobody wants to talk about all of the bad things, I cant believe all of you hillary supporters and fans being unable to see how bad she is and how she made america unsafe at the dinner. Nice Greg impression.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 11:17 PM) Trump managed to lose the al smith dinner, goes historic 0-4 in a best of three series. Hillary probably didn't write her speech, but it was pretty funny.
  16. If Nintendo can get good third party support this time around, I'm definitely in for the Switch.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 11:24 PM) Somewhere do we think Jed Bush is thinking, Billy, why the f*** didn't you tell me about those recordings back when I was running in the primary? The DNC clearly had a hand in leaking it. Why would they release it that early when they wanted Trump as the Republican candidate all along?
  18. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) Roberts confirms Kershaw for game 6. Good move. I feel like they should start him in game 5 if the Cubs win tonight's game. You can't possibly go back to Wrigley down 3-2. Urias, while good, probably isn't going to last more than 5-6 innings. And I don't trust Maeda at all.
  19. At least there's no more Tim McCarver.
  20. The reason the Cubs have struggled so much with Kershaw and Hill is that they have great curveballs. Urias' scouting report says his curve is 60/65, good for his best secondary pitch. The only problem is that it wasn't all that effective this year at -2.7 runs. Urias started out poor, but he was very effective after he got called back up.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:36 PM) Jebus. And Jansen has thrown like 40 pitches in 4 days, he'll be fine to pitch tomorrow and there's an off day in between to game 5. This is no big deal at all. EDIT: Well I'm an idiot, thought there was an off day between games 4 and 5, my bad. Still don't think the extra 15 pitches will be killer but that does change it some for sure. Plus you already got him up. If you already get him up, I don't think 15 pitches makes that big of a difference.
  22. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:35 PM) For the record, I think it was silly to use Jansen with a 6-run lead. Should have preserved him and not given the Cubs hitters a chance to see him. Had Fowler not doubled in the 8th, Jansen would have never seen action in this game.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:31 PM) Let's face it. Dodgers are conceding tomorrow pitching the kid. So it'll be 2-2 heading into Kershaw and the closer Jansen will be rested for huge Game 5. You must have never seen Urias pitch. There's a chance he might have some jitters, but he's already pitched in the postseason.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:31 PM) There is a day off on Friday, he will be fine. What happens if Baez gives up a few runs, then who do you bring in? It's the playoffs, you don't f*** around with your bullpen, you ensure the victory. That's the only thing. If Baez falters, who picks him up? Otherwise, no reason to use Jansen there. I don't think Roberts did anything wrong there.
  25. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:20 PM) He was a throw-in inthe Chapman deal. Kind of funny how he got traded back to NY.
