Speak for yourself. I'm just here to watch the wreckage burn, at this point. I am only watching tonight hoping they break the record. f*** this team and their scumbag loser of an owner.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
Paulie4Pres replied to Balta1701's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Honestly, nothing surprises me anymore. It's going to take a new owner and a complete house cleaning before this team has my Fandom again. I know I'm not alone in this. The damage they have done in the last few seasons, that started with hiring TLR, and culminated with not one, but two signings of that scumbag Clevinger, is catastrophic and unrecoverable. Until JR dies and every last one of his sycophants is gone, I'm going to actively root against this team. I hope they're just as bad next season. This franchise is dead, and there's one piece of s%*# to blame for all of it. Every single problem comes back to him, and TLR. -

Boomer brain. -
The cognitive dissonance that you olds possess is truly insane. It's amazing how it extends to all aspects of your lives.

No issues with Moncada sitting, but if he's sitting, it should be Ramos at third. If Ramos isn't playing third, I sure as hell don't want Vargas there, and would rather have Moncada. This organization is just clueless.

The Athletic: Must Read article on Jerry Reinsdorf/White Sox

It isn't the age of the plane. It's the fact that it sucks and is worse than the rest of the league. Seriously. Eight first class seats? -

I couldn't imagine being a 6'+ 200+ lb. athlete and flying coach everywhere. It's just unfathomable to me. Flying coach after playing a hockey game the night before is absolutely miserable. Your whole body is tight, you have no room to stretch, you're cramped... These guys are professional athletes. It's absurd to fly coach. Lol -

This is an absolutely idiotic take. First off, they would be better off flying commercial first class. Second, they fly on a weekly basis. Their charter should be top of the line for a major market team with an owner worth over $2B dollars. Finally....the charter plane isn't being blamed for their s%*# play. It's being cited as a symptom of the cancer that is Jerry Reinsdorf. When your amenities and facilities are second class compared to the rest of the league....why would anyone want to play here? It hinders free agent signings as well as player morale. It's a huge problem.- 281 replies

He should be fired for the Vargas trade alone. -

You know what's more comfortable for passengers? First class. You know what sucks? Flying coach. Have you ever seen how most professional athletes fly? The White Sox charter an Airbus320, a plane first manufactured in the 1980s. It features only eight first-class seats; the rest is coach. The article isn't BS at all. It's as thorough a breakdown and evisceration of the worst organization in professional sports, and why they're the worst, as you will ever see. Perhaps you should read it instead of focusing on a minute detail of the article and immediately calling it BS. -

And one instance where the metrics and the eye test match up perfectly. There's literally nothing there. He's a AA caliber player.
-
It is just mind blowing that they accepted this guy as the return for their best trade assets. You won't be able to give him away next season. He's total garbage.

Vargas is one of the worst baseball players I have ever seen. Why is this asshole playing 3rd again?

By the way, I wouldn't get my hopes up for YouTube TV. Of the teams that have moved to OTA recently, only the Anaheim Ducks have a channel on YouTube TV that shows all of their games. Mavericks, Kraken and Golden Knights have one of their channels currently on YouTube TV. The issue is those channels will NOT be showing all the locally televised games, only simulcasting a select few per season. So just having those channels isn't enough. Since those channels are the main ABC and NBC affiliates in their respective region, most of the time they'll only be good for pre and post game shows—if that.

No. And of course, the gutless sports reporters in this town haven't questioned any of this.

The reality is that they are going to be on a channel that is only broadcast from one tower in the Chicagoland area, and a whole bunch of people that aren't directly in the Chicago metropolitan area are going to be screwed. Like, screwed badly enough that even installing an antenna on your roof isn't going to help anything.
-
"The Comcast deal will be the tough one." Just what the millions of Xfinity customers who are fans of the Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox, want to hear! By the way, if you're more than 60-70 miles from Willis Tower, good luck getting any of these games OTA. Even suburbs like Naperville are going to struggle with signal quality. Suffice it to say, yellow isn't good. The signal will be hit or miss, and weather dependent. Red is unusable.
-
https://www.channelmaster.com/pages/tv-antenna-map-chicago-il-60660 I would suggest anyone who plans on utilizing the OTA broadcast to check this beforehand. There are a whole bunch of areas around Chicago where 62.2 and 62.3 have trash signal.

Forgive me for not trusting anything Reinsdorf has his greedy little hands on.
