  1. Way to go Juanny!! I've always liked him and I miss his glove...
  2. Bumgarner showing some big cojones in the bot of 6th.
  3. Benches cleared, that's something you don't see often in the playoffs..
  4. Sloppy play by the Phillies have let SF back in the game...let's go GIANTS!!!
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) They will still get a ridiculous amount of fans to each game because of tourism. Like it or not, Wrigley Field and Wrigleyville is a huge tourist draw and will continue to be no matter how crappy that team is. Even out of town Sox fans go out of there way to visit that s*** hole when they visit Chicago. I haven't been to Chicago since 1989 and when I do go back to visit one day with my boy, I have absolutly no desire to go to Wrigley, I just don't get that Cubs/Wrigley Field lore. I've only been to Wrigley twice in my life, once when me and my best friend (a Cubs fan) played hooky in HS and caught a Mets/Dwight Gooden game (he was very insistant) and the other time with my dad to catch a Dodgers/Fernando Valenzuela game...and in keeping up with true Chicago Cubs form, they lost both those games, lol.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) You just kinda knew the Rangers were primed for something special. Loaded farm systems don't gurantee anything. But seemingly every major minor league site/publication/guru were in total agreement that not only did the Rangers have the best collection of talent in baseball, but by far the best. And man has their system come through. And they're still loaded. They don't have the look of a 1-year wonder at all. They could be even better next year. It's easy to forget that guys like Kinlser and Cruz spent a considerable amount of time on the DL. Hamilton missed the last month. And they only had Lee for 15 starts. And many around baseball think Feliz will ultimately end up in the rotation. And his stuff is as filthy as they come. Baseball is a weird sport, sometimes it makes no sense and that's why I love it...on that note, I'm weary of making predictions because most times they don't pan out, for instance, many thought the Detroit Tigers would be a force to reckon with for years to come after that 2006 pitching staff and they really haven't done much since and another example, how many of us here would've thought that the Rays would've won a WS by now after 2008? I wouldn't be at all surprised that if Texas wins the WS this year, they won't make it again...baseball is so unpredictable.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 05:19 AM) The Texas Rangers are the absolute best example of a team who traded away their best player, got the best package they could, and developed that talent to be major league ready. That Teixeira trade looks incredible, and the biggest chip in the trade - Jarrod Saltalamacchia - didn't do s*** with the Rangers and it still looks awesome. Andrus is awesome, still young, and only going to get better at the plate, and Neftali is a stud, whether in the pen or the rotation. It's sweet justice that they've reached the postseason before Teixeira, though he obviously has had little to do with that. FanGraphs posted an article before the postseason that suggested that the Rangers might have the best postseason rotation with Lee, Wilson, Lewis, and Hunter. Considering their bullpen is good enough, and their lineup is solid (with obvious room for improvement), this may not be the last time we see the Rangers in the World Series. --- early prediction - Paul Konerko signs with the Rangers, 4 years, $50 mill, after they resign Cliff Lee to a 7 year, $140 mill deal. I don't understand that statement, didn't Teixeira win a WS ring last year with the Yankees?
  8. The Exorcist and The Shining are the two greatest horror movies ever made...honorable mention also goes to Shadow of the Vampyre.

    Dexter

    My wife loves watching Dexter but I really haven't gotten into it.
  10. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 12:36 AM) the hot chick from Nacho Libre has my full attention in this series i hope she stays a while Her name is Ana de la Reguera, been a fan of hers for years, she is one hot Mexican mamacita Kenny Powers f***ing rules!!
  11. Vlad is just terrible in the postseason, he stunk up the joint vs our Sox in 2005 and has had a horrible postseason so far.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 15, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) Correct. They definitely could have done it. and the Phillies would be hands down the favorites to take the WS with those 2 studs...
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 15, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) They couldn't have done it. Too much payroll?
  14. Just imagine if the Phillies would've held on to Lee and added Halladay.
  15. Green Bay just keeps shooting itself in the foot...again, not a very smart team.
  16. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Oct 9, 2010 -> 11:17 PM) HAHAHAHAHAHA and they're dead. DEAD!!!! ++++++++++++++1111111111111111
  17. Like I said, f*** Division Championships if all you do is s*** the bed in October... f*** THE TWINS!!!
  18. So I take it that we shouldn't emulate the Twins way of doing things then? What would the Hawk say about this since he's the biggest Twins cheerleader?
  19. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) THIS IS A DIFFERENT TWINS TEAM THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!! Remember how many of you said that? No it's not, same old s***, same old team. Let's remember that the next time we're all over the Twins nuts for being the greatest franchise in the history of sports. +1 I don`t give a damn how many division titles they win, they always crap the bed in the postseason and not only to NY, they got swept by the A`s a couple of years ago when they were the favorites.
  20. Kubel just got lucky that ball didn't get past him or else this game would've been over...Yanks with a 4-2 lead looking for more.
  21. Gardy just got tossed, trying ANYTHING to fire up his chokers, lol...Yanks up 3-2, GO YANKEES!!!
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) I wouldn't count them out yet. CC is the only starting pitcher to fear on the Yankees staff. Pettite is money in the playoffs, I hope the Yanks win tonight and sweep these a-holes.
