2013 Video Game Thread
So The Last of Us is an awesome game, huh? Gonna got out and get me a copy this weekend. About the XBox One vs PS4 situation, I've been a PlayStation guy since 96 and nothing about the XBox makes want to switch consoles. Also, I must be in the decided minority that actually perfers the Sony controller to the XBox. Not a fan of Halo either, I've played it at my nephew's house and I thought it was meh, as long as I can get my CoD fix, I'm good to go...

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 11:14 AM) When has Miami ever won two games in a row? They beat the battered Bulls 4 straight after dropping the first and they swept the Bucks. ECF, they traded victories. Why do people think all of sudden they'll win another game? Has SA even lost two games in a row this playoffs? If there's any team that can beat Miami in a 7th game, it's the Spurs but the way they let the NBA title get away from them, I just don't think they'll recover. I said Heat in 7 and I'm sticking with that.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 11:51 PM) I'm not doin' this s*** tonight. I called out Booga for an obvious bias towards LeBron,. He doesn't want the Heat to lose. He wants LeBron to lose. He never says anything when LeBron is being LeBron. But whenever he has a bad game (no matter how mediocre/bad Wade/Bosh are) or gets beat off the dribble it's lol hahaha LeBron. Tonight was the most obvious case I've seen to date. LeBron took his headband off and turned into the original predator from the 4th quarter on. Not a peep. LeBron turns the ball over and it's lol Lebron choke. Well, I'm not Boogua, I don't hate LeBron and I think you know that. I just don't think he is on MJ's level. And don't start with that crap about us MJ fans being protective of his legacy, the stats he put up in the biggest games don't need us to "prop" up. LeBron had been having a meh Finals and in reality, if Leonard hits both FTs or the Spurs could grab a f***ing rebound, the narrative right now would be how LeBron underperformed in 2 of the last 3 Finals and how he choked down the stretch when SA grabbed a 5 point lead in the final minute. That's how close LeBron was to being called a choker all summer long. The Spurs lost this game more than the Heat won it TBH. Bron should be buying Ray Ray an expensive gift because LeBron's legacy would be taking a massive hit (and rightfully so) right now.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 11:22 PM) Oh, he's most definitely a threat. But he's got to win this series. 4 MVPs at 28? He's every bit as efficient as Jordan was. So you can't use that. It's all about titles. The problem with you is that you don't use context. LBJ's competition is nowhere as good as Jordan's. Kevin Durant? Dwight Howard? Derrick Rose? MJ was battling prime Bird and Magic for MVPs. Call me when any of Bron's contempararies are anywhere near that level...and don't say Duncan, his best years were half a dozen years ago. MJ could easily have 2 or 3 more MVPs.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 11:00 PM) Just admit your agenda. Chop LeBron down to protect Jordan's legacy at all costs. It's ok. I did the same thing with Kobe for years. lol, as if LeBron is a threat.

Next half could define LBJ as either the stud we all thought he'd become after last year or a choke artist.

Phil Jackson would do wonders for LeBron, instead he has had Mike Brown and Spo.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 05:01 AM) The next Spurs W is going to be the toughest W ever. I just want Lebron to be 1-3 in the finals. With the 1 being a weak title in a shortened year where Rose and Noah got hurt, even though I don't think the Bulls wouldve beat Miami. Just want to be able to say that so I could sleep better. If you look at LBJ's overall Finals performances so far, hardly GOAT level.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 09:04 AM) Can you really see the Spurs losing two in a row to Miami? That's pretty much what Miami has to do win this series. If the see saw continues, the Spurs win. I sure can. I would absolutely love to be wrong but I said Heat in 7 before the Finals started and I'm sticking to that

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) Well, the Mavs did go up 3-2 and finished 'em in game 6. Game 5 is the Spurs' season. No way in f***ing hell they lose game 5 and take two in Miami. Big dif is that in 2011, LBJ was still a p****. Present day LeBron now at least attacks the basket when his j isn't falling.
