  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 09:47 AM) This will all be forgotten eventually...he'll come back in a few years, and everyone will remember the good moments. Except that my biggest idol, Jordan, never came back He should've been for us what Magic is to the Lakers.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 07:30 AM) Can my favorite teams ever let a franchise player go without that player making the team look bad in the media? Can't it ever just be "it was mutual and I love them and especially the fans on Soxtalk"? PK is our greatest hope, he's not much of a s***-talker. I could see him retiring at the end of the year and I could also see him being stubborn and wanting to play for a few more. Great point, it happened with Jordan, Thomas and now Urlacher.
  3. The Bears shameful ineptitude at putting an NFL level offense on the field robbed Urlacher of at the least one SB title. Godspeed #54
  4. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 02:32 PM) <!--quoteo(post=2770461:date=Mar 19, 2013 -> 12:42 AM:name=Jordan4life)-->QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 12:42 AM) <!--quotec-->The LeBron dunk over Jason Terry last night was just dirty. 6 weeks ago Durant was my MVP. f*** that. 23 game winning streak and his overall brilliance, LeBron's 4th MVP in 5 years is all but assured. whoa just saw it Nice dunk but people are overreacting on this dunk and D Jordan's dunk on Knight. I don't find a dunk on a way smaller player all that impressive. I like dunks when they are on equal sized or larger opponents but that's just me. Kobe on Dwight Howard for example, that's a dunk.
  5. There was a time when this thread was about, you know, basketball before it turned into sports journalism 101...If you want to b**** about ethics in sports reporting, make a damn thread about it so I can avoid it and just read about basketball here.
  6. RIP Clive Burr HUGE Iron Maiden fan growing up.
  7. Yeah, pretty strange but stop worrying.
  8. Kids being kids. If no other incidents have happened since September, I wouldn't worry about it. I wonder why it took you so long to post this? Has it been bothering you or something.
  9. I just got internet service for my house this week and was anxiously waiting to get online last night and play NBA 2K12. Needless to say, I might be the last dude on Earth to have found out 2K Sports took down the NBA 2K12 servers last November. What a ripoff. If 2K Sports thinks I'm dumb enough to go plunk 60 bucks for the '13 version just so a few months down the line they take down those servers to force me into getting the latest version, they are f***ing nuts. f*** 2K Sports, I love their games but I'm never buying another one of their titles.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 09:34 AM) So, um, are the Heat ever going to lose again? No
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 11:55 AM) I refuse to believe that DeAndre Jordan actually made the free throw that followed. ..............
  12. QUOTE (TomSeaverFan @ Mar 3, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) I did a google and can't tell if he's still with the Yankees. Is he still pitching? He signed a minor league contract last April with the Rockies.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 11:20 AM) <!--quoteo(post=2767499:date=Mar 10, 2013 -> 10:05 PM:name=buhbuhburrrrlz)-->QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) <!--quotec--> love the kids reactions Poor Brandon Knight. Classic case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
  14. lol@the Hornets, they were defending the wrong basket... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIprRLpFbWE
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 07:33 PM) Magic has apparently offered to put up a million dollars if LBJ would enter the dunk contest. Meh, does anyone really actually care about dunk contests? They've been practically the same show the last 2 decades. Bron's in-game dunks are spectacular enough.
  16. I've no idea who any of those people are but since it's sports radio, I'll take a wild guess and say I'm not missing much.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 12:58 AM) Good. I hope it continues (not that I expect it to change anything). This franchise has won a whopping 3 playoff series since Jordan's last shot in Utah. The front office has failed miserably in building another winner. The critisicm is deserved. +1 I don't know about the timing so much but someone needs to light a fire under their unimaginative asses. The Lakers FO struck a deal that got them Gasol for nothing and you know Wade was working LBJ while he was under contract with Riley's blessing. You can also add to that how the Lakers almost snatched CP3 and then went out and got Howard (yeah, he's been hurt but when healthy he's the best big man in the league). That's what FOs that want to win do...
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 28, 2013 -> 03:52 PM) Magic+Isaiah would still be dominant today. No doubt, I think that goes without saying.
  19. I get that the PG position is deeper than ever but prime Tim Hardaway, KJ, Mark Jackson, Penny Hardaway, Gary Payton etc would still be causing major damage in today's NBA (maybe even more so). Mark Jackson would be considered a top 5 post up player nowadays and that's not a slight at Jackson, just goes to show you how much the post up game has sucked in recent years.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 11:39 AM) I just don't want a team with a bickering superstar and FO, with the star claiming innocence while having his "people" make all the public comments ripping the team. Then have that FO panic and make a bunch of stupid moves in a failed attempt to please the spoiled-child superstar. I don't recall that working out too well for the Magic or Cavs. It worked for Kobe...but then again, it was the Lakers. But yeah, it usually doesn't lead to good things.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 21, 2013 -> 07:47 AM) That was just sick last night. I'm starting to think he's the best 2 in the game. I'd still take Wade, Harden is just not a good defender.
  22. QUOTE (BlackJack @ Feb 21, 2013 -> 11:32 AM) Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard I'm told Bulls definitely not moving Boozer & unlikely to do anything Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard One exec involved in talks w/ATL for J Smith now saying "50/50 chance he gets traded." That's a downgrade from yesterday I watched J Smith last night against the Heat, played a nice game dishing out dimes, real nice passes. Of course he took dumb 3pters but really other than that, played a nice all around game. He is talented but not at the price he's asking for.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 18, 2013 -> 01:10 PM) Tiger Woods on golf. But that depends on your definition of major American sports. Maybe Dale Earnhardt and Nascar? MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL. You can include MLS but I don't know if it's that popular. Tiger Woods is a good example but NBA popularity>>>>>PGA Golf.
