  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:19 PM) The problem isn't negativity. The problem is thread-bombing PHT with daily threads that have different titles but offer the same meandering stream of consciousness that leads to bizarre comparisons that make no sense. Are you saying this sitiuation doesn't remind you of the current socio-economic conditions of Northern Ireland?
  2. I see that Jimmy Ballinger was finally moved to the pen. Hopefully, this will help him focus on throwing strikes.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:18 PM) I clarified my point, I never told him to stop posting, just to keep the same thought in one thread, not start multiple threads with the same idea. Thats all. I'm inclinded to agree with this. Negativity is fine, but unless we're expressing a unique opinion it can go in some of the threads that have already been created about similiar topics.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) How old is Davey Johnson? 67. So maybe of some concern. He's still in baseball though (Nats front office) and has been managing some international clubs for the last couple of years.
  5. I want Weaver-ball. I know Davey Johnson has expressed some reluctance in returning to managing, but i wonder if a three-year contract and a big market would sway him.
  6. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) thank god. I'm enjoying Rios and Jones. How about Kotsay? The guy whose performing the same role for us (and making the same money) as Thome is for the Twins.
  7. I think this was the first year where KW threw the ball almost completely in Ozzie's court. This is Ozzie's team, this is the group of guys he wanted. He's making the lineups, and calling the shots with this group of guys.

FIRE EVERYONE! Wait, Wrong thread. Happy birthday, man!
  9. Take the series, we forgive yesterday. easy as that,
  10. I want to jump in before all the good hyperbolic (But very true) statements are taken. Here we go, this might be the single most illogical baseball move I have ever seen. What the Cubs have done is shown panic on a level that was (heretofore) unparalleled, and they have effectively nullified any credibility they had left as a competitive organization. Small sample sizes be damned, you don't take you're #1 starter, traditionally slow going in April and boot him to the pen for Carlos Silva. There is no defending this move.
  11. QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 11:57 PM) Phil Hughes no hitter through 7. Broken up after he got nailed in the chest on a liner by Chavez and couldn't track down the ball.
  12. What's the problem with going alone? Sometimes that's the best company.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 02:26 AM) Haha, we always flirt and hug eachother at work, not for real, but just for laughs. But yeah, I'd bang her. Tap it. You'll have the most legendary, "how i met my significant other post" ever. Besides, i've been waiting to see how a pickup line that starts with, "So, i saw a picture of you on a baseball site that i frequent on the internet..." works out. No chance like the present.
  14. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) i've never seen this girl in my life....thats weird.... This could either be some insane coincidence... or fate.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 12:10 AM) Well I'm not as reserved as I've said numerous times on this board and on futuresox when I registered a while back that he has the highest potential of anyone in organization currently. I'm talking super-star if he puts it all together. It's up to him to realize it of course, but I'm in love with the guy as a prospect. (and Nate Jones) I was very pleased with myself when i got Trayce's autograph in Glendale this spring. This kid has the complete package. We're talking MEGA-tools.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 11:03 PM) I can invesitigate this, but would need her phone number...... Might help to have her PIN number too.
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 10:55 PM) thompson is getting me moderately excited He's taking a nice step forward. Hopefully, this promotion was a kick in the pants.

AJ on his 10-5 status. ‘‘Everyone knows my situation, I’m a free agent at the end of the year," Pierzynski told Cowley. "But I also know this, if it gets to about June then they can’t trade me, so they’re going to have to make a decision here pretty quick.’’ http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...-042010.article
  19. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 10:42 PM) Isn't Crawford a FA after this year or next? I'm thinking the Sox should offer him and Bosh the MAX.
  20. Good to see this thread again. Let's make it a habit.
  21. Alright! Hope this is a sign of us getting back on track!
  22. We need to nail this down before Longoria comes up.
