It’s amazing how bad this lineup is against RHP when Eloy is hurt. I can’t believe we’re still rocking Edwin at DH. Hahn should be completely embarrassed that we’re starting a 37 year old who put up a 71 wRC+ as our designated hitter. Fuck, I’d rather give the start to Collins in all honesty as he’d at least add some balance.

I think Jimmy previously mentioned the Marlins & Mets as other teams with the necessary slot to sign one of these guys.

If anything the delayed signing period hurts us, as it makes it less likely one of these guys waits out another year. It’s almost certainly going to be one or the other.

I would say so. A big chunk of our slot is already accounted for and there are several teams with space left I believe.

I also would go with Mazara over Leury if Eloy is unavailable. SSS, but he had a 97 wRC+ in his last nine games and nothing was overly flukely.

We don’t have the slot left to sign both, but my guess is either guy would sign with us all else being equal so hopefully we have our choice of which guy to go with.
