How does Vaughn look like a DH?

I think at least one of them will, likely Johnson or Hamilton. A bit surprised Burdi was left off the initial summer camp invite list. Clearly he has lost some stuff, but he was still throwing hard enough with two other above average pitches to be a decent middle relief option. Not sure what to make of that situation.

I doubt Vaughn spends more than the minimum in the minors next year.

Would be great if he could become something useful. I was super high on Hamilton before the cursed season.

That still doesn’t change the fact the DH spot is not an option for him, so either he needs to get smarter out there or risk getting hurt.

Leury isn’t a starting caliber just because he’s having a nice little hot stretch.

Not sure there is going to be a lot of trading given the deadline is in 3 1/2 weeks and over half the league will make the playoffs. I really only see the handful of legit tankers trading away pieces and probably not a ton of big name princes. Maybe someone like Mychal Givens on the Orioles could be had for a somewhat reasonable price. Also, I really don’t want to be that guy, but bullpens are highly volatile. I’n ecstatic with how guys have been performing so far, but outside of Bummer and Heuer, I need to see much more before I start believing this is sustainable. Marshall in particular seems to be pitching way above his ability level and will certainly regress, but perhaps he’s made some changes that are helping him K a lot more batters. We’ll obviously find out with more time.
