  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:59 PM) October 23rd, 2005 for me. Didn't feel a damn thing once the game started though. Oh, well that's obvious. I would have been out there in the cold and rain too for that game. I get chill bumps when I see the Konerko grand slam and Podsednik walk off when I watch it on DVD. I couldn't imagine being there. You lucky dog. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:59 PM) I can understand why people would want a retractable roof but baseball indoors is just f***in weird to me. I've been to a couple Brewers games with the roof closed and it had such an odd feeling to it. Yeah but I'd choose feeling weird over freezing my balls off in the spring. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:59 PM) Anyways, looking back I can't believe how ugly the Cell was when it first opened. I didn't care at all back than cause I was going to watch the Sox play but looking back, that place was just fugly. Now, it's an absolutely beautiful park, love it. It's hard to convince Cub fans, but I still think going to U.S. Cellular is a MUCH better experience than going to Wrigley.
  2. Next year is the last year of his contract, right? I wonder if he's going to want to re sign with the Sox? He should be willing to sign with the Sox for the f***ing league minimum in 2013. He owes Chicago.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) Discomfort reason why he was pulled. Time to shut him down until after all star break. What an albatross this has become You might be on to something. I'd like to see the Sox get SOMETHING out of the guy.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) Like someone on MLB just said, the Sox face some nasty pitchers lately Actually dude does have a point though. Lets see how other teams do against Haren, Weaver, and Price all in one week. But with that being said... I'm looking forward to the Sox absolutely unloading on some poor unfortunate pitcher real soon.
  5. Sometimes you just gotta laugh...
  6. LOL 7 - 9... Geezus...
  7. HIT THE f***ING BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. f*** it.... back the truck up and start unloading!!!
  9. Sam Fuld 4 for 4. Really? I mean, really?
  10. I swear I hate those stupid ass Miller commercials on the radio. They are the most annoying EVER! ALL OF THEM! Good God I'll never drink another one again.
  11. How about that... a f***ing hit...
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) f*** you wendlestedt And he's yelling like he's enjoying his bulls*** strike zone. STFU ump!
  13. Man... and I was waiting for something awesome to happen for my 2000th post. At this rate I would have waited days.
  14. Looks like the Red Sawks have stopped f***ing around. Before you know it, the Twins will wake up and start winning too. I know it's early, but I would sure like the Sox to show some signs of life.
  15. Zoinks!! Why would I?
  16. Xylyl is one of the strangest words I've ever seen...
  17. I have to admit though... the coldest I've ever been at a game was the Blackout game in 2008, and I didn't mind that at all. That game was EPIC.
  18. Maybe if I was in a galaxy far far away, but I'm on present day Earth and that s*** don't work.
  19. QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) Ehhhhh This is Chicago were men, lets play baseball where its supposed to be played, outside. I wonder how many times you've been out there freezing your ass off in April or early May, or September or October. I'm not saying play 100% in a dome like The Hubert H. Hunkas*** dome in Minneapolis or whatever that thing is called down in Tampa. Retractable domes are niiiice. Open it up if there's no rain or it's above 60 degrees outside. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) Then I hope you like the Cubs, because the Sox would have been gone to St Pete. It was about 12:30am, or about 30 minutes past the "deadline" to get the bill passed to build the new park. And that was the cheapassed stadium that we got built. If they had demanded something like a retractable roof, the team would have been gone. Eh I guess you're right. Too bad they couldn't build the thing so a dome could be added to it later. You have to admit that it would be nice to have a domed stadium when it's cold and rainy outside. I bet the place would attract a LOT more fans. Call me crazy, but I refuse to go out there and PAY to freeze my balls off in when it's cold and rainy when I can watch it nice and cozy on the tv. Sorry.
  20. Dammit let's get this s*** straighened out TONIGHT!
  21. Knowing this zombie thread is here is making it hard for me to resist checking SLam.
  22. IMO U.S. Cellular should have had a retractable dome from the get go. Imagine how nice it would be to go to games when during crappy weather like we've been having. I would go to MANY more games if the stadium had a roof. It's working for Miller Park.
  23. It's like a zombie and I'm shocked that it's been alive this long.
