Don’t care how it shakes out at that point as long as they don’t run any guy named Engel out in the lineup we are good.

Not falling for any of this garbage again, i firmly believe the Sox are the favorites to land Machado based on the obvious....Jay, Alonso, his Rawlings glove, hectors consistent reporting....manny can meet whoever he wants and that’s okay, the only way we lose him if some team blows him away with an offer he can’t turn down and the Sox won’t match it

https://mobile.twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/1096086420249141248 first thing I can kind of see as a negative from Alonso in regards to Manny....ugh this needs to be over already

In my opinion they lost the chance of not becoming desperate the moment they threw out the words “stupid money”

Hmm, if this was coming out of Chicago, mass riots would start ensuing and the fans would be saying this is a tell tale sign of management trying to temper the expectations of the fans if they strike out....

Not a chance in hell

#Lava Front Property......I feel the heat already...

I hit 420 so yeah might as well start 666 as well

Who is gonna be that guy to move it to 6 6 6

I’m just going to post the alphabet to avoid any jinx to get it to 667....otherwise a bunch of Machado to the Rays tweets gonna start popping out the woodwork lol

I thought I read somewhere earlier in the day saying the exact opposite though, saying that veterans typically get an empty locker here or there because they are veterans.....

If they had that approach at their meeting though, why would they continue to inform manny about transactions like the tulo deal?

He met with the Yanks last of all 3 teams if you remember correctly. There is no doubt in my mind that there wasn’t any other offers put out there before he met with NY

Highly doubt he would have said no thanks to 240M with an offer the same or less than the Yankees.

Already did ?

I think he knows the offer, who the favorites are but no ETA in regards to a signing. I think yesterday was pure speculation that a signing be made in the next few days because of the obvious spring training beginning

Once again, the team involved in this negotiation is the Chicago Whitesox, they are NOT New York Yankees or the Cubs to be in a position to do this. They have no bargaining chips here other than to pay the man. The team has been losing for a decade straight, have not signed a big named free agent in even longer than that and are in no way shape or form in position to do anything like this. It’s the price you pay for being irrelevant for as long as they have.

Gotta love Whitesox Wednesday!!! Meh I’m gonna say it.....today’s the day!!!

But he’s already ordered his Sox glove soooooo nothing to see here ?

Man I’ve watched too much toy story with my kiddo lately because I read this is the best buzz lightyear voice I could think of lol....

I thought about that for a second then realized everything we’ve known this offseason has been back asswards from the start so that might as well be too

This thread has been something else...now I’m greedy as all hell and want some Harper news, but instead of posting in that thread I’m going to place it here because posting in that one is like yelling down an empty hallway compared to this one. Any Sox updates on the Harper front?

At least the roller coaster has been put back into commission, I think it’s been broke for the last month

Dammit.....

Well I do have to watch the 2 year old in the morning until around lunch before going into work late so I have all the time in the world tonight to lurk so LETS GO!!!
