Welp, only 44 more days until opening day.....so there is that. I doubt it drags on much longer and definitely the dust will be all settled by opening day. I think everyone would agree that this would an amazing problem to have, however Moncada is still raw, in my opinion has way too much upside to say he is blocking Madrigal who still is unproven in his own right. Cross that bridge when we come to it and pray that it does become an issue of who to play at what position

Isn’t keeping him longer than one or two years the goal here? It doesn’t the whitesox no good to let him sign for an opt out after 2019 if they aren’t really planning on competing until 2020 and even then you may not fully be ready to win it all until 2021. To me it defeats the purpose of bringing him in then.
