How do you guys feel about the Whitesox meeting him first as opposed to being the one to close out the meetings with him?

Doesn’t Levine just regurgitate what the other national reporters say though? History shows the Sox are cheap so it’s not far fetched to be true I just take everything that guy says with a grain of salt

I wouldn’t worry about the Harper to the Dodgers thing until you start seeing some salaries moved by them to help in the potential deal

On his Twitter page he has #familyiseverything.....hopefully that is the case for Machado as well

I highly doubt that quote from Hahn yesterday was coincidental and then bam they did exactly what he said. Either way it’s worth the shot of helping your odds

This one move does nothing to hurt your franchise but could mean everything if it seals the deal with Machado, you do this move 10 times out of 10....go big or go home Hahn!

Morosi and Verducci talking Whitesox on MLB network. Morosi thinks Sox will be highest bidder on Machado or Harper but whether they land either he isnt for sure

I caught that as well, something about new tv deal with a possible new network announced before spring training, interesting....new TV money!

Also he mentioned that he would be absolutely SHOCKED if that ends up happening, talked how the players are friends but the agents can’t stand each other

Meh that was more of a lebron storyline and they were throwing it out there with the way the Sox are sitting financially in a couple years with only 5 mil on the books. It’d be nice tho

Ken Rosenthal just ended up repeating the norm as of late saying the White Sox have the money for one of those two but will they pull the trigger on a deal. Nothing new

The White Sox tend to always be the favorites in doing that, however we will see how things play out I’m not going to freak out one way or another until I hear a signing is imminent

Morosi was just on fox sports radio talking Harper and Machado and mentioned there are not many Machado suitors but did link us to him numerous times in his update in regards to him. Didn’t mention anything in regards to the Sox on Harper though. Thinks Phillies land Harper and hinted at the white Sox landing Machado

It will be interesting to see how they move forward if they don’t land either of those two guys. I only mention standing still at the moment for the sake of not losing sight of the big picture. If I’m Sox management my thoughts would be I’ve been down the path of instant gratification one too many times for my liking and would like to see the younger core develop just a little bit more before dipping the toes in the free agency pool and possibly having to trade away assets for guys so we don’t deplete the farm system to where it was just a few years ago.
