QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 11:10 AM) Was this an idea posted by someone from a yanks board? Because thats about how bats*** crazy it is. i couldn't have said this any better. all this trade will do is hurt us and of course we are going "all in" this season

i really am glad brady lost.....anytime i watch him anymore all he is doing on the field is crying about everything. just tired of seeing all of that every week when they struggle or things dont go Mr. Brady's way

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 09:40 AM) So, when do we start hearing about how Tom Brady can't win the big one any more? i was hearing the beginnings of it on Mike and Mike in the morning today. Last 3 playoff games all losses 5TDs compared to 4 INTs and 2 of the previous 3 gms were played at home (the other one was the superbowl against the giants)

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) So the Bears need to go after every FA out there. Bagboy in the RedEye(who never makes sense) made sense today. To compete for the SB, Bears need: Brandon Marshall Steve Breaston Darren Sharper Shawn Merriman E Dumervil Terrel Owens i just ran across this quote lol. i'm a packers fan but i'll tip my hat to the bears they made it this far w/ out every single one of these players

c'mon seattle! as much as i would like to see a GB/CHI rival NFC Championship game i'd love the seahawks steal a win here

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 10:19 PM) Well, luckily for us, it doesn't matter if we look ahead. I just hope the players are more worried about getting past Seattle first. thats what i meant Go Packers!

if i was a bears fan i'd be more worried about getting past Seattle first of all

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) I'm getting a disturbingly large amount of writing done on my Hawaii paper tonight, despite the NFL games on and the whiskey bottle next to me. I'm not sure what this means. that means it is going to be one hell of a paper

i thought it was pretty decent, not great but definately something to watch to pass the time

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 11:38 AM) Joba has dominant closer stuff and with the signing of Soriano is expendable. im a believer in that you have to have a certain mindset to close we dont even know if chamberlain has that he only has 4 saves in his career. Last season he gave up 71 hits in 71 2/3 innings pitched w/ a 4.40 ERA. Those numbers don't have closer written all over them

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 11:36 AM) It gives them flexibility to either pick up a starter if Jake can't go or allows them to take on at the trade deadline. why do that when you could just plug sale in the rotation till jake gets healthy in the first place? besides our bullpen seems pretty decent right now as it is. adding joba while subtracting jackson would hurt us more than it would help us

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) No Thanks! Jackson is my wildcard for 2011. I think he will have a Jon Garland 2005 type season for us. I was really impressed with his pitch selection, location and execution last year. i agree w/ this. I don't think Joba is anything special.

this offseason has seemed to go by alot quicker than last years. i guess all of the acquisitions we've done this offseason has made me more excited about the whitesox than i can think of in recent years

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) Not to mention, they lost on every single FA they went after of any significance. gotta love it when the yanks strike out on players they want

definately glad we didnt sign him for that much plus gave up a draft pick for him WOW

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) I was thinking the same thing for VZW customers who are ready to get this iPhone. Might as well wait since you have to keep the phone for two years. It better be running optimally. i was reading somewhere that the new every 2 promotion was being removed from verizon as well let me look for the link...

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 07:57 PM) Some guy that looks like TCQ does All State or State Farm commercials at a baseball stadium or airport...and they're bad. Like TCQ playing defense bad. HAHA i see that commercial all the time and never drew the connection....nice

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) I'd rather be lucky than good. i'd rather be both

i feel for all chiefs fans out there right now.....there is no sicker feeling than getting blown out in a one and done playoff gm

this game is OVA....GO Packers!

KC is throwing this game away.....

QUOTE (spiderman @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 10:29 AM) I would love to get him on a 1 year deal for 8-10 million, but the Sox never seemed to intersted, and the Yankees/Angels would probably be willing to give him 2 years. you have to have that kind of coin in the piggy bank and it sounds like we've already exhausted most of it if not all of it

Don Coopers take on Sale

QUOTE (joeynach @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 04:32 PM) Id say he is done. There is not much room to even add anyone to the 25man roster. The Bullpen is set, lineup is set, the bench is set, the only thing I could imagine would be still searching for a fill in candidate for Peavy who can shift to the pen when/if he returns. we already have that in Chris Sale

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) I am quite positive it's never happened, but somebody please tell me it has. i would like the see video proof as well
