To think the Sox were trying to acquire him a couple seasons ago….why can’t we acquire good things ugh ?

Rumor has it they can opt out of their minor league deals or at least Billy can and sign with another team if he doesn’t make the roster. Unsure of Marisnick or Hanser. Reyes was already sent down from camp.

Leury was a butcher in CF, remember how shallow he would play and could never get back to a ball hit towards the warning track. He definitely wasn’t good in RF either.

We will see if the concussion lands him on the IL to start the season.

Just watched the highlight…. Seems like Moncada dramatics in full season affect I didn’t really see much of a collision unless it happened right at the end but seems to be a whole lot of nothing going on there. Still don’t know why he was going after that ball and just didn’t let the LF take it

Inning could have been much worse and to be fair castillo should have thrown the ball to 3rd instead of going to 1B. Kopech should have gotten out of that inning with no runs

Cancel Spring Training ?…don’t wish injuries on anyone and hopefully he is okay but if one team can overcome/absorb injuries it’s Steve Cohen and the Mets so I don’t feel too bad

Leury always in my opinion should have been let go after the rebuild was “over” and let go with players like Palka, Yolmer and DelMonico. He is not the super utility ben zobrist and has never been that guy. Recent managers have tried and tried to make him into that guy but he’s never truly been that player

After watching him in person in my opinion he has the body type of a 3B/1B.

They had a backfield game today. Saw Sosa, Ramos, Perez, Rodriguez, and a few others playing. Pretty cool experience to witness. I’ll definitely be making this a yearly experience with the kiddo
