QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Dec 22, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) As I assumed earlier, 4 star Harrison Smith picks the Irish! Has a sub 4.3 forty. Finally getting some ridiculous speed on our team. Sub 4.3? I don't buy that. That is just Jesus speed. Rivals has him 4.38

Not a pretty win by any means but it was an obvious letdown game after a big rivalry plus we were without Carter. Enjoy a few days off now.

I know someone has to know this. What is the name of that old computer game similar to the likes of Tetris and Breakout where there are balls bouncing around and you have to click to make vertical and horizontal lines to trap the balls in separate areas and get them in the smallest possible area? QUOTE(Jimbo @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) you should stop talking big 12, you know its either illini or bust.... Yup, considering Illini fans inspired the Mizzou talk.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 10:29 AM) When the Illini were actually good for.....oh 1 year, they were on top of the world. Now, as reality has shown its ugly face, the fans are just hard and bitter. 1 year...get a clue

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) I have seen plenty of Mizzou, they really are not good. Arkansas is very subpar as well. OPPONENT TIME/RESULT RECORD TELEVISION 11/10 North Carolina A&T W 101-80 1-0 11/11 Army W 67-58 2-0 11/12 Stetson W 66-45 3-0 11/16 Lipscomb W 89-69 4-0 11/19 Davidson W 81-75 5-0 11/25 Stephen F. Austin W 85-56 6-0 11/27 Coppin State W 98-77 7-0 11/30 Arkansas W 86-64 8-0 12/3 Evansville W 73-54 9-0 12/9 at Purdue L 79-62 9-1 12/19 Illinois L Mizzou is maybe the 8th best team in the big 12. KU, A&M, Texas, Tech, OU, Ok State, Baylor, then ISU and Mizzou This is about as easy as you can get. No, it could be easier. They could have played Northern Arizona, Towson, Tenn St, Ball St, Dartmouth, and Toledo. And I'm not buying ISU over Mizzou at all, or Baylor for that matter. People are stuck in the Quin days.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) Then again, a compentent coach might make a difference. I think this may be the key, gone are the horrendously coached Quin Snyder teams. Mike Anderson has his guys playing 40 minutes of tough D and Stefhon Hannah is a HELL of a player.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) God, you really don't have a clue about college basketball do you. It's not even worth it...you're too far away from intelligent conversation to even attempt conversing. Go paint your face and sing rock chalk, that's about all you are worth. Yeah, and it's about damn time someone said it. I'd gurantee this is the first time you have seen Mizzou all year Jimbo. Just ignore the fact they beat a really solid Arkansas team by 22 and their only loss is against a good Purdue team. Why use logic when you can just spew random s***?

f***ing embarrassing defensive effort, Trent, Frazier, Jamar should all be humiliated by these pathetic attempts to deny penetration. Trent is very ordinary in every aspect of the game, not a high major player IMO

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) I can only hope the Brent news is because Wisconsin has made a late push and some how changed his mind. He was at the Wisconsin-Pitt game over the weekend, so while its unlikely, maybe he has had a change of heart. He changed the date because he has a basketball game that night, but how would he have not known that before hand?

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) I honestly don't give two s***s if Illini fans or they're coach like him. As long as he wins and continues to pull in good talent I will take it. So character is not an issue in sports to you?

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
"PETA would like to offer a lifetime supply of cruelty-free hand cream to any NBA siss … excuse me, superstar who'd be willing to give the composite ball another shot. Recreational players and NCAA athletes have been using composite balls for years without experiencing scratches or scrapes — but we understand that the delicate hands of pampered NBA superstars are far more sensitive than those of your average Joe who actually has to work for a living. "The hand cream comes in a variety of scents, including "Filthy Rich Organic" (perfect for any overpaid millionaire) and "Peaceful Patchouli" — Nash, we have a whole case of that set aside for you. "Maybe by taking care of your own skin a bit better, you can allow cows who would otherwise meet their end in the slaughterhouse to keep theirs." f***ing PETA whacks jobs.
