QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) I picked Price for the long run, simply because of injury fears. This. I think Sale definitely has the capability of outperforming Price but Price is far more of a lock to log you 200 innings each year

MLB @MLB IT'S OFFICIAL: Use any player hashtag between 12-4 ET and your tweet will count toward the final #FinalVote tally. Peavy's hashtag being #TakeJake

GT: Texas Rangers @ Chicago White Sox

Day games are just wonderful work amusement, that is all. -
Jonathan Givony @DraftExpress Head coach Monty Williams reportedly feels he can convert Rivers to point guard, and start him alongside Eric Gordon in a big backcourt.
-
I just don't understand the decision to force a guy in as a PG who isn't a natural point, especially when the offensive development of your studly #1 overall pick largely depends on it.
-
Do I care about the whole Ozzie "quit" on the Sox thing? No. Do I think Ozzie is a huge douche, not worth the headache, and a sub par baseball manager? Certainly.

I disagree about more talented players on the board for the Bulls, Teague a BPA type pick in my mind

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 11:10 AM) I think there is an issue with "familiarity breeds contempt" Seeing every one of Meyers' failures and getting very used to (taking for granted) his successes is something that is going to happen when you watch a majority of the games, particularly when the team wasn't successful. I was saying I'm not biased from the perspective of oh yeah I think Meyers Leonard is gonna be great because I like Illinois
-
Ahh, makes sense. I personally think Leonard is going to have a very effective NBA career, and I'm nowhere near biased, wasn't a huge fan of him at ILL. Crying on the bench during a beatdown to Nebraska then having the gall to show your face in a bar that night is pretty incredible.
-
I saw someone tweet last week a quote from an actual NBA assistant general manager saying, "If Meyers Leonard were black he would be the number 2 pick in this draft". Found that pretty comical and interesting
-
Kirk Hinrich is absolutely awful at basketball these days. Also a Brian Cook - Meyers Leonard comparison, that's odd
-
Before Deng and Rose come back the Bulls are probably gonna be be looking at something like: 1-Hinrich/Teague 2-Rip/Hinrich/vet min 3-Butler/vet min 4-Boozer/Taj 5-Noah/Asik Oh my.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 02:58 PM) Which would suspend him for the final Exactly, couldn't think of a more fitting Balotelli move. First half couldn't have gone any worse for my 6/1 bet on Gomez for Golden Boot which was looking extremely promising. -

f***in Mario Balotelli... It would only be fitting if he got a hat trick and another yellow on the celebration -

Let's do it Mario Gomez, lock up my Golden Boot bet victory. -
Vin Parise @VinParise According to league sources, the Chicago Bulls are drafting Tyshawn Taylor from Kansas tonight with the 29th pick -- backup for Derrick Rose
-
Good to see Escobar get some knocks
-
It just doesn't make any sense to have Sale in this game still

For a program that has struggled immensely with the city of Chicago and all that comes with it, can't help but feel good and pumped going forward after reading this: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/colleges/p...hire-for-illini

Nick Blackburn has been absolutely pathetic this season, let's make today one of those stat padding blowouts and get all our bats back on track. Lefties vs. Blackburn this year: .380/.468/.598/1.066
-
Not White Sox related but I really love tracking Billy Hamilton of the Reds organization 92-111 in steals through just 72 games... http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t...&pid=571740

Some of these f***ing idiots could afford a damn chauffeur. The Lions rap sheet is pretty extensive this offseason.

Basto has had a very rough go of things here in the early going

I believe not only is he 9 for his last 9 against Floyd, but Mauer has reached based against Gavin in 15 consecutive PAs. Oh my.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 09:42 AM) Apparently multiple teams are interested in giving him the full MLE. He got the same "platelet-rich" therapy that Kobe did. The likelihood of him returning to form would be low, but if he somehow did with the Bulls, well, that could be really, really interesting. Zach Lowe @ZachLowe_SI Have spoken to three sports medicine experts who say platelet-rich-plasma therapy would have little/no value to Brandon Roy.
