July 5, 201213 yr I had a request for a poll... Who would you rather have right now, and going forward, Sale or Price? Discuss.
July 5, 201213 yr I'd take Sale all day long but it's a gamble on his health...I think Sale has the slightly better stuff but more of a chance to get injured. Tough call.
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) I picked Price for the long run, simply because of injury fears. This. I think Sale definitely has the capability of outperforming Price but Price is far more of a lock to log you 200 innings each year
July 5, 201213 yr Any pitcher can get hurt. I think either one could have a major injury, either one may not. Sale me please.
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:31 AM) You have to know Price before you can complete Sale. Can I write check?
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 08:55 AM) Price in a landslide. His delivery is perfect. And I love Sale... Gee, where have we heard that before? cough, cough Prior cough,cough.
July 5, 201213 yr Like Jake said, any pitcher can get hurt. Poor delivery, or fluke thing I love watching Sale pitch. I would have to go with him.
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) I picked Price for the long run, simply because of injury fears. Same. I picked Sale for 2012, because I think he will be fine for a couple years, but in the long run, I'd take Price.
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 10:52 AM) Can I write check? No check, Cash-ner only.
July 5, 201213 yr I think David Price wins this poll easy on any non-wsox board. This season you can go either way but long term at this point I don't know how Price doesn't have every vote.
July 5, 201213 yr Right now, I went with Price on both questions because I believe he has less of a chance of injury. Otherwise, it's a coin flip.
July 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:11 AM) This. I think Sale definitely has the capability of outperforming Price but Price is far more of a lock to log you 200 innings each year Agreed. Sale has one of the nastiest sliders in the game. Unfortunately, that is the one pitch that causes alot of arm problems. Right now, Sale. Long run, Price.
July 5, 201213 yr For those who like Sale for the rest of the year, shouldn't you have to take into account Sale might be limited in the second half of the season? I think he will be capped at around 180 innings, while Price can go 230 innings for you. I will take Price down the stretch especially if we are in a neck to neck race for a playoff spot.
July 5, 201213 yr Our guy has more raw talent in his arm, IMO. If he can remain healthy, his career will be among the most memorable.
July 6, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) I picked Price for the long run, simply because of injury fears. Exact same thought here
