QUOTE(drowninginflame @ May 28, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) This isn't like year past, I think they have a big move in the works. Getting the biggest SP on the trade market doesn't do it for you?
-
734 is f***ing insane. People don't even touch 550 these days
-
This year
-
Let's see our 3,4,8,9 hitters are hitting in the .230's. Our 6 hitter is sub .215

WHY THE f*** IS CARL IN THE 3 HOLE?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) You can't just say a change in scenery will suddenly turn around a guy like Latroy Hawkins, his head is majorly f***ed up. He'll suck in San Fran. Book it. If SF doesn't ask him to close he will be fine. Book it.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) Latroy Hawkins is a piece of s***. While it's a good trade for the Cubs...^ is stupid
-
Awesome trade for the Cubs IMO. Hawkins needs to move on. Jerome Williams was good in 03 and 04. Just struggling this year. He's better for them than LaTroy.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) They reversed the call and got it right; they did exactly what they were supposed to do. While ejecting the players that were "right"?

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Best distributing? Felton? Well let's see Deron lead the B10 in dimes every year he was at Ilinois. He had .4 less assits than Felton this year, but who had more weapons? Also, Deron on defense=awesome
-
If Ray Allen signs with ATL I would guess they pick Deron, but I am not sure. They will probably go Paul but neither Chris nor Deron would suprise me.

LOL what a way to end the game. Mench doesn't make that play and we have the tying run at the dish. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Nope, not perfect but when you have the best record in the league obviously we don't have as many flaws as some people believe. You yourself have said that you're the first person to overreact and you know your about as pessimistic as they come, they're going to be fine willie, absolutely fine. You know it, you just won't let yourself believe it yet. For some reason I can't tell myself the offense will be fine after watching AJ, Carl, Dye, Crede, Uribe, etc over the past couple games, weeks, etc. Maybe it's just me? And yes for those of you scoring at home I used etc. twice in 1 sentence -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) So give up then. :banghead I'm sorry I dare point out a flaw of a first place team, after all everything is perfect when you have a good record. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) Nothing, my point was that he said the exact same thing about the team being out of first place within a certain time period. We all know the twins aren't going away but either our the sox, so get over it. No, God damnit. He overreacted after 3 bad pitching performances about a pitching staff that had been great all year. Our offense hasn't been special all season and I am saying this after a week of poor hitting. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Quickman told me the exact same thing about 3 weeks ago. I believe his words were the sox pitching won't hold up and they'll be out of first place within a week. Well within that week they expanded that lead. I shudder to think what this place we'll be like if we ever dont' have the best record in the game this year. WTF does pitching have to do with what I said? He said that after 3 bad pitching games, I said this after 7 days of corpseball -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) He's right though. Every losing streak even a 2 game losing streak results in this team sucks, blah blah blah. We'll probably win these next 2 games and we'll be the world series winners again, to many people are to low or to high after a single loss or win. We have some weaknesses but everyone does, they'll be fine no reason to go giving up. It gets ridiculous after every single loss, he's absolutely right about that. As I have told everyone over and over and over. It's not losing it's being realistic that our offense is in the s***ter and is a piece of huge trash. If that continues the Twins will pass us in 2 weeks. We have to start hitting the f***ing ball. -

QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ May 27, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) it stinks to come on this board when we lose a game. the sky is always falling and its a b**** fest. cant win them all. just enjoy the ride guys and gals. Everything is good when we hit under .200 for a week Take off your f***ing Sox blinders and realize this team has big time deficiencies despite a good record. I am sick of people just refuting valid points regarding team problems with, well we have a good record. -
