QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:59 PM) Chuck GarfienVerified account @ChuckGarfien I know Chris Sale likes wearing the 1983 throwbacks. He clearly had issues with the '76 ones. And yes, there's more to it than that. Omg why

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) Now we're in a quandary. Do we keep this guy? This isn't somebody I'd want on my team. But if you trade him, do you get the same package you would if this didn't happen? You do, because if a team lowers their package they lose.
-
I'm remembering that Sale called Drake LaRoche a clubhouse leader and it all makes sense.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:50 PM) From rosenthal Sources say: Sale cut up throwbacks during batting practice. Upset that, in his view, PR and jersey sales were more important than winning. Interesting stance Sale should just stop playing pro sports in that case.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:32 PM) Rosenthal said Sale believed Sox were more concerned with jersey sales and PR than his comfort. What an idiot, no one buys Sox jerseys Oh my god.
-
God bless Jeff Pasan.
-
That might actually be the dumbest thing ever.

QUOTE (Special K @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) I'm with Sale. He's sick and tired of these losers in the front office. He's pissed there's trade talks about him which he should be. No reason to trade him. Trade these losers in the front office and keep Sale. There are trade talks about literally every player. Problem is these got out

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 07:19 PM) Still kind of curious the White Sox reaction is to concede a division game. A verbal altercation doesn't have to result in sending your best home. He isn't 8. Both parties are acting like 8 year olds. #BringBackDrake
-
QUOTE (Tony @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 07:14 PM) See, now the Sox are pissed, and are going to go to all their people to start letting the bad stories out about Sale. It's so White Sox Ugh this is embarrassing
-
QUOTE (Tony @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) No. Just the White Sox, who forever run their organization like its 1975 I mean in that they listen to trade speculation
-
Chris...this is what front offices do. Jesus.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 04:05 PM) Quintana: "I know this is the time for trades but we try not to pay attention to that." Said he hopes to stay with #WhiteSox https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/756943012689747968 Part of me wants to see Sale and Q not leave and retire with this team So I won't be mad if they stay, even though trading at least one is the smart move
-
I love fans saying teams won't part with some of these names. Well, you don't get Chris Sale in that case.
-
As a non-religious Jew, it ain't wrong. We don't sit well with people, a lot in the South.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) And Quintana's? He really hasn't been all that much less productive than Sale the last 3 years, makes less and is under control for an extra year. Super interesting. I'd say 80% of that probably. Sale's name, arsenal, and W-L puts him above Q. And this is why it sucks that we don't get to see that duo in the playoffs.
-
Just to frame the package for a HoF caliber pitcher under control for what a #3 or #4 starter makes, in his prime, in a thin pitching market when pitchers are getting absurd deals. Think of the biggest return ever in a trade in MLB history. That's what Sale's price is.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) These leaked emails from the Democratic party are mindlessly entertaining. You got them sending interns disguised as protestors to Trump events, media outlets with writers filing stories to the DNC ahead of their own editors, placing fake job ads for The Trump Organization looking for hot women, and on and on and on. But what happened to Bernie Sanders is disgusting. He never had a chance vs a rigged system, and these emails prove the collusion the DNC had with the Clinton campaign. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an evil human. Wouldn't they have also revealed rigged votes, which were commonly thrown around?
-
Everyone knows that if you trade Sale, you need an almost guaranteed perennial All-Star in return, right? Like, Sale isn't a "well we're not winning so f*** it we'll take what we can get" trade.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 12:32 AM) I'm honestly kind of horrified about the debates. Drumpf plays by different rules than anyone else. He could call her a dumb c***, lose no votes, and nothing Hillary could do or say would make her look okay. I just have no clue what stuff could happen on the debate stage and if Drumpf mistakes would be received as such. I doubt neutral ground is kind to him.

Aight, both of you guys calm down with the insults. You're both better than that.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 11:24 PM) Again, Schwarber is likely a good piece. Bryant and Russell are nearly untouchable. This is a stupid discussion. The Cubs and White Sox couldn't agree on the value of Chris Sale. Injured DH missing his sophomore season after a downward trend to his rookie year for a HOF pitcher? Yeah, starts with one of the untouchables. You don't get an untouchable star like Sale. for an injured DH.
-
Lmao at Baez and Soler. Any Sale deal with the Cubs starts with Bryant or Russell.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 05:24 PM) He avoided it because he didn't give a f*** and he thought he didn't need the help. Don't feed me this noble Derrick bulls***, he got far too much benefit of many doubts, and he did what he wanted to do and said what he wanted to say. From how readily Joakim Noah followed him and the way his teammates spoke about him, yeah, I'm going to say he was supporting his teammates.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) In non crazy people news, I support this idea: http://www.blogabull.com/2016/7/20/1223183...kup-point-guard Agreed
