The coulda woulda shoulda threads are annoying. They do nothing, The one I look back on is what could they have gotten for the no tradable Scott Ruffcorn who was a bust.

They don't have anything to give up. Many teams can make trades if their farm system is stocked/ The bullpen weakness last season was addressed and didn't work. They have yet to see NL talent doesn't work for them. It's like trying to buy a gallon of milk and only have a nickle. They only thing they have left is the free agent market.

This isn't a performance based organization. You forget who the owner is.

That's pretty much for every baseball team with long contracts with players in their 30's.

Starters going for more Ks than innings exposes the overrated pen.

I don't think much will improve in this organization until there is new ownership. Even the large markets teams treat scouting and development as a priority. They don't always litter their organization with former players. Some odd resewn fans are for this. I guess though there is more improvement in some areas with drafting and development. They still think career NL players will make an immediate impact which seems to fail.

I think it was a knee jerk reaction by the FO. Bringing someone from the NL to face unfamiliar hitters expecting immediate success doesn't work for the Sox.

His career was in the NL. You are facing pitcher you've hardly ever seen and in unfamiliar stadiums.

The careers are getting even shorter among hard throwers. I think under Katz it's more about Ks instead of innings.

If that ever happens to me I'll let you guys know how it feels.

I have no confidence in the pen , even the stud closer. They would be great if innings had 2 outs, This team was a 100 win last year if it weren't for the pen. I'll take innings from a starter instead of more Ks.
