I don't get the Camby, Chandler, or Okafor comparison at all. For one, Davis is way more athletic than Camby is/was, he's got better basketball IQ and bigger hands than Chandler, and Okafor is more bulkier and less mobile than Davis. And Davis is more of a 4 than a 5. Davis has similar build, athleticism, and style of game to a young KG. I am not surprised if he turns out to be a poor man's KG as soon as 3 years down the road. -

Also, a healthy Andrew Bynum could challenge Dwight as the best center in the league next season, he is a legit low post scorer and brings the same intensity defensively. -

Last night saw Rose's slim chance of repeating as MVP went out the window. But I have to say, missing Rip for 3/4th of the season and Rose for another 15 games and various injuries to the rest of the roster, the Bulls are somehow the best team in the league. I know Popovich is doing great things in San Antonio without Manu, but if Thibs doesn't repeat as COY, it would be a travesty. -

Dwight Howard stays in Orlando, all the hype and drama before the deadline. I don't see any other significant trades will made today, this could be the most boring and overblown deadline ever. -

To think about it, this is exactly the same lineup that lost to the Nets at home not too long ago. -

I like how every broadcasting team has a different weight for Lebron. The ESPN crew just called Lebron 6'8 and 280. I guess his forehead grew 40 lbs. -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) The only sure fire real deal is Davis and even with worse record chances are they don't get him, add in the fact of Jordan's basketball decisions not too worried about Bobcats being good in near future. If they get Davis, a trio of him, Biyombo and Henderson will make them excellent defensive unit already, that team could be something special. But I like Barnes a lot too, he will not be a superstar, but his scoring potential will make him an all star in the near future. -

If I were the Bulls, I would trade the Charlotte pick while it has some value. Charlotte will finish with the worst record this year, they will almost certain to land either Davis, Barnes, or Drummond, and perhaps another top 5 selection in 2013. They will be a force in the East by 2015. A core of Biyombo, Anthony Davis, Henderson, Kemba Walker (and bless not Shabazz Muhammad) is and excellent core to build on. -

Loved Brewer's play tonight. He looked really aggressive pushing the ball up the court getting his own shots and finding the open man. For a while, I thought I saw the additional playmaker we need next to Rose. Gibson was beasting on the boards tonight, but the Knicks are just too soft to compete on the glass. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 07:55 AM) So the Pacers piss off Rose with their celebration, he goes nuts. The Bucks piss off Rose by calling him average, he smashed the game winning shot in their stars face. Can we get LeBron to talk about Rose's momma? I missed this, what did they say? -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:01 AM) Watson is a good ball handler who come playoff time will be more important, imo. Your rotations get shorter but a guy like Watson, who is probably our best player off the bench (along with Taj & I guess you could argue Brewer), is still going to play a key role. Especially in the instance that teams are pressing the crap out of Rose. You than have a guy like Watson who can bring the ball up and run the point and you can work various screen actions to get the ball in Rose's hands as the off-guard. Watson is also significantly better than John Lucas. And this is coming from someone who doesn't think Watson is great, but the dude would start for at least 5 or 6 teams in this league. Looking at last year's playoff number, Watson only plays 8 minutes a game, averaged 3 ppg while shooting 34%. Do we really trust Watson as the main shot creator next to Derrick if it comes down to that? We tried with Watson last year and failed. I know he has improved this year, but he's still not a scoring threat. Watson is not even the caliber of scorer that Crawford is, and he is not a legitimate 6th man. People often complain that Thibs is playing Deng too much. But Thibs often lets Deng stay in along with the second unit because we do not have a reliable scoring threat in the second unit at the wing position. If we get Crawford, a combination of Brewer, Rip, and Crawford can spell Deng immediately and give him more rest till playoff time. To me, a guy like Crawford can fit next to Derrick very well and can reduce the workload for Deng as well. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 09:18 AM) Struggle to see the bulls trading CJ for only a slight positional upgrade when he knows this system already and Thibs truss him. Watson knows the system, but Lucas has also came in a did a good job. The drop off between Watson and Lucas isn't that huge to hold the Bulls back from getting a legitimate 6th man. Plus we can use Crawford at point on occasions. Come playoff time, Derrick will be playing 40 minutes a night, the necessity for a guy like Watson will diminish. We currently don't have a legitimately 6th man and a scoring threat off the bench. Come playoff time, you can bring Crawford off the bench and he will give you instant offense, which is really something we were missing in last year's playoff. I also find it every important for the Bulls to have another guy who can handle the ball (Deng or Rip isn't the guy), especially when teams are trapping Derrick at half court. If we are facing Miami, and if Lebron is shutting down Rose, Crawford gives the Bulls another guy who can get his own shots. Crawford could be a bigger upgrade than you think, because he possess the skills that the Bulls desperately needs right now. -

Portland is currently using Crawford at PG because they got Mathews and Batum at SG. But he isn't a natural PG and isn't distributing the ball when he starts. Crawford only makes $5 million, so I think we can trade Watson and Jimmy Butler for Crawford, and the salary would be about even. This makes a lot of sense for both teams because Watson is a better point than Crawford for Portland. We have no idea when Rip will be fully healthy, so we will start Brewer at SG and bring Crawford off the bench as a backup SG/PG and use JL3 as the third string PG. Crawford is a better ball handler, outside shooter, and better at getting his own shots than Rip, he isn't any worse of a defensive player than Martin, and in the right system, he can be pretty efficient. -

I would like to hear the fallout of Rose's knee injury after tonight. He was in serious pain after the collision, he did play the rest of the game, but I didn't really see any explosion from him tonight. I hope this isn't a lingering injury where he can play immediately after, but forces him to miss time in the future. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 29, 2012 -> 01:33 PM) Every night? Well damn. I guess I'm less of a fan. When did this start? I went to a Raptors/Bulls game last April and they scored well over 100 points and I didn't get s***. Unless I was too drunk and just walked out without getting my coupon. I don't pay any attention at all to Bulls' promotions. And I know for certain that they have to win AND score 100 when they do this. Yawn@ the grass is greener crap. I'm just objective. And enough with the Knicks. Jesus f***ing Christ. How many times do I have to say that I was WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG to think the Knicks were on par (never said they were better) than the Bulls. I said this like 6 weeks ago. This you are right. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 29, 2012 -> 01:04 PM) Let's see. I didn't watch the game (shame on me for missing the juggernaut Hornets) and I'm still supposed to know that last night was free Big Mac night? I'll concede that I was slow and should've put two and two together, as Big Macs was referenced by Steve prior to Duke's post, but I didn't. OH THE f*** WELL. And get out of here with me being less of a Bulls fan. No, I don't want to orgasm every time Derrick Rose's humility is brought up. No, I don't pretend that Carlos Boozer at $15 million a year having to come out of close games for defensive purposes is ok. No, I'm not going to make Luol Deng more than he is (a very good roleplayer and more of a third option on a championship contending team, or the fact that I'd personally escort his ass to midway if it meant Dwight Howard coming back) because he's a Bull. No, I'm not going to pretend that the Bulls are on par with the Heat and Thunder talent wise just because, um, just because. The Bulls are a very good team with more than a legitimate chance at winning it all. Do I think they can beat the Heat and Thunder 8 combined times in May/June? Nope. Doesn't mean I won't hope for it. Exactly my point. Free big mac night is every night in which the Bulls scores over 100 points. I thought an average Bulls fans who goes to the game or watches the game would know about it. But you are the ultimate case of the grass is always greener on the other side. Maybe I do not read every single post on here, but I almost never hear any optimism from you about the Bulls. Oh yea, the Knicks will be as good as the Bulls right? And we all know the Heat is a better team than the Bulls on paper, but we believe the team can hang with Heat given a certain condition. Your attitude of there is no way in hell the Bulls could beat the Heat is not a typical attitude of a loyal fan. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 29, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) I see. Didn't watch the game and had no clue about any free Big Macs. And I know the Bulls have been involved with opening fitness centers and attempting to get fat kids off the video games and internet and into the gym. So yeah, that one totally flew over my head. This, and your constant jabs at the team makes me question how much you follow the team, and how loyal of a a fan you are. -

Rose is like the Tim Duncan or David Robinson of PG. He certainly has great athleticism for highlight reel plays, but he is not the showboat flashy players like Westbrook or Wade -
