  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) He didn't last inning for Carlos. He seems to be calling low and in but not high and away
  2. Did not look like a strike to me but hey when you're as bad as Flowers the pitcher will get the benefit of the doubt
  3. probably hit him on purpose to see flowers lmao
  4. He is so much better out of the wind up. Must have dominated college and the minors so much that he never had to use the stretch very often.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 08:21 PM) I wouldn't say "way" more. He has 44 HRs over the past 3 MILB seasons. Hitting just .240 in that span. I'm sorry but I just don't get the hype over his batting. I know he has a nice, patient approach, but other than that, I don't get it. It's the swing. He is looking really good at the plate and has such a nice, quick swing.
  6. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 08:05 PM) seems simple, but he's much more balanced on his follow through the last couple starts. Maybe he's getting used to MLB adrenaline. If what we are seeing tonight and his last start is the real Rodon, he should be pretty effing exciting to watch
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) Trayce looks so dangerous at the plate With how short his swing is I have hope he is one of those guys that can hit better in the majors, considering pitchers are more around the zone. He seems to see breaking balls well and has a great eye in this brief exposure, just wish I could see him against a righty.
  8. Even with that Rodon isn't looking bad. Seems to have good command
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 07:32 PM) It's astonishing he's still able to be in the majors despite some of the worst swings in baseball Chris Sale likes to throw to him so Geo Soto's 1.4 war in limited time means nothing
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 07:11 PM) Sanchez and Saladino are both natural shortstops, right? I don't think Sanchez is but Sally is
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) Perhaps, but that doesn't necessarily mean he can do so at 2b. He's mainly been a middle infielder IIRC, not very much experience at 3rd, I imagine his D would play better at positions he has more playing time at
  12. Anyone think his D would be better than Sanchez' at 2b? I think his bat will play out the same (more power/speed) when it's all said and done and he definitely has a bigger arm/range.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:41 PM) Ran into one? He has been hitting the ball well lately no matter how much you think he sucks He has 4 HR this month which is really the only good part of his line. Everything else is consistent with crappy Avi batting lines and he had gone the whole month of July without even snagging 1
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:39 PM) Just keep bashing Avi. I mean he ran into one there but I'm going to continue to bash him. He is a really bad player
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:36 PM) Time for Avi to make up for his f***up. Or continue to reduce his value to this team. I'd walk abreu and cabrera every time to get to him
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:20 PM) 1.0 Offensive War and -1.7 defensive WAR I can think of at least 3-4 runs Avi had literally been responsible for with his terrible defense over the past 3 weeks
  17. QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:18 PM) Guys, please stop bagging on Avi. He's young and he more than makes up for his atrocious defense with his bat. Green?
  18. Dunn and LaRoche have put an eternal curse on our DH position
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 08:17 PM) If Leury doesn't come in at CF, we could also put Alexei there, shift Beckham to SS, and put Sanchez in at 2B. Or keep Beckham at 2B and put Carlos at SS, which I believe is his natural position. I don't think Sanchez has the arm for short but anything other than Leury is worth
