  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 07:13 PM) He meant for his career, right? Still pretty lofty
  2. Grady f***ing Sizemore would rise from the dead to stand at 3rd to open an inning after we tie in a game we need to win
  3. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) Abreu is always f***ing hurt, what's up with that? We haven't been the luckiest organization the past few years. I don't think he is injury prone but it figures our hardest swinging guy fouls a ball off his leg
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) I think he challenged it to get his reliever a few more warm up tosses Was it a challenge? I thought the umpires were just discussing
  5. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) fan interference? Some little nerd was throwing his hat in the way but the ball soared over him, dunno why they even discussed it
  6. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:57 PM) AJ hitting well...certainly dont need that Tyler Flowers pitch framing makes the pitchers feel good and they relate with him because none of them could hit any higher than .200 either
  7. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:54 PM) Right now your trotting a group of LaRoche-Garcia-Sanchez-Flowers at the back end. That's not good for getting runs in. Seems to do wonders for getting an opponent pitcher in rhythm too
  8. And I'd like to see them transition Micah to LF and just.. DFA LaRoche or try to dump him on some one. Melky at DH would be pretty valuable and I'd take Micah's .270/.333/.380 out of the 9 hole
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:47 PM) Nope, I think he's gone. Them trying to get a corner outfielder makes me think they know he's a bust Cespedes or Heyward would look nice out there. Wonder if the money they'll save by not resigning Shark can be used there.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:44 PM) And his swing mechanics absolutely suck Think he starts in RF next season?
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:43 PM) Hey, we stink again. Defense leads to a run off Q. Cmon scorer, call that a f***ing error on Avi. Avi seems like a guy who tries hard, unfortunately he's not a big leaguer. Sad. Send him down to try to reinvent himself. Maybe Detroit rushed him to begin with. He's a sad story. Seemed like a guy with some tools. He's officially a bust. Tools are there but he is a left fielder at best and his pitch recognition/plate discipline is non existent
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:41 PM) Omg is he lost at the plate. That was the worst AB of his career Karns threw the curve 2 feet off the plate like "f*** it he's gonna swing"
  13. "How many times do you see it, a guy makes a terrible play to give the other team a run then leads off the next inning with a 3 pitch K" At least the boo's are coming for him.
  14. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:40 PM) How was that an earned run for Q?' Didn't give Avi an error on the butler "double"
  15. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:34 PM) What kind of s*** throw was that? A Kansas City Special?
  16. I don't understand how the team values defense enough to leave Micah Johnson, who was proving that he could hit at the major league level, in AAA for Sanchez while leaving Avisuck up to be a butcher in RF without providing any offense.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:30 PM) He actually hit .253 during July. Hit over .300 the first 2 months, .181 during June but that was BABIP correcting. He still puts the ball in play. As long as he can keep doing that his average won't be terrible, and occasionally he'll hit a ball that the RF will drop. Like he just did. He hit .253 in july with a .581 OPS and 6/27 BB/K ratio. Not to mention the terrible defense in a position we could probably get good defense and similar production from for cheap
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:28 PM) Shhh....it wasnt worth it. We dont need that production. He would have caught that ball too
  19. Cespedes with 3/5 3 doubles and 4 RBI today
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 06:23 PM) If you get him up with a runner on 2nd he's actually still decent, that's when flipping the ball weakly to RF for a single can work. All I can remember from Avi lately is infield hits. I think a lot of his stats are effected by his spree early in the year before he became Avisuck.
