  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:06 AM) I was fine with them pulling him last game due to wanting to save his arm from too many pitches. But to keep him in today to throw so many extra pitches just for a shot at a record is insane. Should be skipping his next start honestly.
  2. QUOTE (southside hitman @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:04 AM) Shark's trade value increasing and Sale's decreasing...SELL SELL SELL I'm okay with trading everything on the team but Sale. If we can't get a good team around him before his contract is up he will still be worth a boatload in his 2nd to last year.
  3. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:02 AM) can any of this be blamed on the manager. i mean, not to blame RV, just to pile on RV. but is it really his fault. Robin does a lot of bad or questionable things (like right now leaving Sale in) but it's not his fault that these players suck ass this year.
  4. Oh what Chris Sale is on the verge of history? Let's be the Twins!
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 10:53 AM) Not a surprise, his mechanics are awful. Going forward, he seems more a part of the problem and not a part of the solution. Watching him at the plate is like seeing a really bad version of Vlad Guerrero
  6. Carlos Sanchez: Here for the Defense.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 10:35 AM) So many of the players have been jogging to first this year far too often. Eaton and Alexei are the biggest culprits. Ironically, the guy with the bad knee (Avi) busts it down the line every time. Honestly I'd bench Eaton for 3 games and tell him to watch Shuck whenever he hits anything. If Adam hustled like him he'd be busting out infield hits every other game.
  8. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:26 AM) #grinder Really sucks too because I thought we had finally found a decent lead off man last year.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:21 AM) According to fangraphs, Avi is now 156th out of 164 in terms of WAR. With Utley on the DL, Alexei is far and away the worst hitter in baseball. Does Sanchez qualify?
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:08 AM) They ever cared this season? Flat and lethargic since a week into Spring Training. It just seems like as soon as Sale gave up a run they knew it was over. No fight at all and that play by the infield just looked stupid. Defensively these guys are offensive to watch.
  11. Seems like this team just doesn't care anymore
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:03 AM) Avi played that badly. He isn't a great RF
  13. Nice to see LaRoche have a decent start to a game. Would be cool if he got hot and ended up useful
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 09:39 AM) When he isn't one of the worst defensive second basemen ever. I'm pretty sure Sanchez has been the most useless offensive player in the majors since we've been starting him. At this point, why not see if Micah's bat will translate over an extended period of time and see if he is going to get any better in the field up here?
  15. Micah is destroying AAA right now, when can we have him back?
  16. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 09:32 AM) What happened? I'm following on GameDay. Chris threw a slider that broke so hard it hit Hunter in the foot and he still came around and swung on it
  17. All I can say is that if we do throw crazy money at this guy, I hope it's because they really think he can succeed and not because Hahn got in a pissing contest with Theo.
  18. I can't watch the games this dude pitches. Something about his face and all the home runs and 82mph fastballs
  19. I mean if the dude is willing to take a minor league contract and can legitimately show that he deserves to be back in the bigs, why not with us? If he sucks, let him retire. Sometimes people need closure and sometimes stories like this have happy endings. It's no risk and could be a decent reward.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2013 -> 01:14 PM) I'd happily dump Dunn if someone took on more than $10 million of what he has remaining or if someone gave up something of value for him. Basically, that means someone overpays for him. So far, no team has shown interest in doing so. If no one is going to give up more for him than he is worth, then he's a sunk cost to the White Sox and we may as well get some production out of it. I'd have no issue sitting on Dunn until next year. Say he hits like he has the past 60 games in the first 60 games of next season and we're not contending, some one is gonna pay big to get him.
  21. Sure would like to love him but Garcia looking like s*** since he has come up
  22. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 10, 2013 -> 08:27 AM) Choo can't hit lefties, his .179 average vs lefties scares me, esp in the same lineup with Dunn. At least Rios hit both right and left handed pitching. If they let PK go the Sox will have lost 2 of the 3 guys who hit lefties well. To replace one of them with Choo who has no HRs vs LHP this year and has had a sub .200 BA the last 2 years vs them the last 2 years is a mistake. He still has an OBP of .323 against them which is pretty much what Rios has put up on a consistent basis (overall), Choo's the kind of guy we should be looking at with that .400+ OBP
  23. Thanks for catching that ball but please stay away
  24. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 07:13 PM) I'd much rather see Semien playing SS in this scenario with Gillaspie at 3B and Gordon at home at 2B. Just say no to Morel, it's a bad drug Gillaspie's defense has really soured me towards him lately, I could see him being a 3b/1B backup but his lack of power and defense really makes him a bad option starting anywhere
