I don’t think they should add more to the pen. They will be fine with what they have. It’s the rotation that worries me. You have Lynn that’s now injured, you have Keuchel that is a batting practice pitcher now and Kopech that isn’t stretched out. That is 3 pitchers.

Well I think they got to pay the price now. I can’t think of anyone in the farm system that can come up and provide the same production or more.

So I’m guessing your one of those that thinks they will not trade for another starter?

They need to trade for a starter. Keuchel isn’t reliable and you have Kopech that isn’t stretched out.

Unless they feel they can trade and sign Manaea to a contract extension but they can just sign him next offseason.

If they trade Vaughn it will be for a perennial CY Young but for anything else he’s not going anywhere.

He’s not serviceable anymore. They got to move him to the bullpen and use him when they have a big lead.

That’s another reason why we need to trade for another SP. Tbh, he’s not even a 5th or 6th starter right now. He’s toast and should be sent to the bullpen. He will be gone next year.

I watched the Hahn presser from earlier. It sounds like Sheets isn’t going to be traded. Maybe Burger, Adolfo and another player will be included in the deal for Manaea?

If Sheets isn’t traded, Vaughn will most likely be sent down.

Sheets raked last year but keep in mind that was only for less than half a season. We don’t know how good he will be for a full season so including him in a deal for a SP wouldn’t necessarily be horrible.

Yeah I agree and it makes it more affordable now to trade either Sheets or Burger.

It’s going to be either Sheets or Burger but if I were to guess most likely Sheets because he really has no place on this roster now since we traded for Pollock. Vaughn or Eloy will be the DH now.

Don’t know if this guy is credible but he’s saying Manaea to the Sox is almost a done deal.

Vaughn shouldn’t be playing the OF. We drafted him to take over 1st base after Abreu is gone. In the meantime give him reps at 1st base and have Abreu DH. I don’t know what’s so hard about that.

Engel hasn’t played that much so far this spring and is injury prone. Adolfo I wouldn’t just hand over the reigns yet. Leury, we all know how bad defensively he is in right but it seems like we’re just going to play all of them out there and see who sticks. Lol
