  1. QUOTE(Cali @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:45 AM) Yeah cause I have time to sit on the computer and vote 25 times a day, cause I dont work or anything. When was the last time a Sox player was voted as a starter? I know it was Frank but what year? 94? 95? i put 25 votes in on fri, sat and sun. takes all of 10 mins, max.
  2. QUOTE(Cali @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 06:17 AM) There's no point in voting, the Sox are just never gonna have a starter voted in. When has it even been close? The smallest gap probably averages 200,000 or so from the leading vote getter per position. I'll vote once like I always do, but it's futile. If they couldnt get a starter voted last year, the year after winning a championship when the bandwagon hopping fans vote for the winners, they'll never get one. yet rather than spending time fixing this problem, i'd rather b**** about it on a message board. if we can somehow get a guy voted in during the final position player period, we should be able to get a guy for the starter position. easiest person to get voted in would be iguchi. should get some strong support from Japan voters too. 200,000 votes is nothing. 25 votes per day x 40 days= 1,000 votes. What, there aren't 200 people who could do that???
  3. is already up. Let's stuff the ballots, Chicago-style. Also, is this starting a bit earlier than normal???
  4. Rome is my favorite city by far. Went there in 2005. Unbelievable.

  14. this is where we (USA) are just a bunch idiots. went to italy 2 years ago. most restaurants had the menu written in at least 6 different languages. (spanish, italian, german, english, french and japanese) and we like to b**** about 1. what a joke.

  16. a friend of mine has bought a bunch. normally he flies out there, inspects the car in person before paying and drives it home. that is unless, you want to buy my '96 Corolla with 130k miles?
  17. Haegar was optioned to AAA Charlotte. White Sox optioned RHP Charlie Haeger to Triple-A Charlotte and reassigned RHP Adam Russell to minor league camp. We prefer Haeger to both John Danks and Gavin Floyd, but he was an underdog for a rotation spot going in and he didn't move up while allowing 12 earned runs in 12 1/3 innings. He'll probably be needed by May or June, perhaps as a reliever at first.
  18. i say take Danks and Haegar on the big league club. If Danks falters, swap him with Haegar in the bullpen.
  19. does anyone know a site where I could get stat information on players in the minor league spring training camp?
