Someone should ask Garfien to look at Alonso and Jay's gloves and see if they have 305 on the side on them.

So you're saying Rawlings post irritated you? C'mon man, that provided us with some fun. No one is forcing you to believe anything against your will.

Yea, I'd rather hear something than nothing. At least trying to figure it out provides me with something to do. This offseason is like watching paint dry, only your sitting staring at the wall waiting waiting for said wall to be painted as well.

The way I read his last few tweets was that he saw the glove post, then immediately contacted/reached out to someone to see if it was legitimate. I think he did hear something beyond the tweets, but who knows if it's trustworthy. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. Hope it actually is coming to an end.

Wow, just when you thought this offseason couldn’t get any weirder.

Uniform Numbers
Alonso signed #17 at SoxFest, and I thought I remember hearing Ricky was changing. Weird if he changed to 23.

I wonder how much of this is affecting the Sox other roster moves they may have in the pipeline. Hahn said there were 3-4 other moves in the works. Obvious that could have been complete bull, or moves that didn’t come together. Pederson and Realmuto were 2 of them. I can’t help but wonder how Hahn and co. must be feeling that the rest of the offseason is hindging on Manny signing and ST is literally days away.- Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
This is interesting. Can’t see him signing first though. Guessing it’s the Phillies, Sox, Giants, Nats?- Brett Lawrie back in MLB with brewers
Oh, I thought you didn't know what everyone was referring to. Yea, I agree. Taking those years off was probably good for him to not only get health but mentally right. I met him once when he was back on the Sox, and he seems like a totally normal guy. Maybe that injury and the fact not a single ball club wanted him messed him up.- Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
The thought of what that ballpark could do to his stats... he'd seriously be taking a big risk to play there. Small sample size, but he has a .164/.305/.284 slash line in that park.- Brett Lawrie back in MLB with brewers
Go take a look at his instagram. He's batshit.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
And what team would be willing to hand over $50M for 1 year? No reports have even suggested that is a possibility, plus a lot of the heavy hitters are close to the luxury tax and can't afford to do so.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
Goo goo g'joob- Brett Lawrie back in MLB with brewers
I always liked the idea of what Lawrie could bring. Too bad he's a bit nuts and couldn't get past the injuries. Hope nobody in the Brewers training staff offers him orthotics...- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
Was posted earlier. I find it odd that on the 1% chance this is legit, they aren't talking money. This deep into the game, I'm sure there are full fledged contracts outlined. But who knows, maybe I don't know anything about how these deals are negotiated, but it seems pretty logical to me.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
He's really going all in on this. Doubling, Tripling, etc.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300

Machado? ?- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
Exactly.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
You’re simplifying this way too much. Do you really think Cubs are going to deplete their team even more to add a superstar? Who do they have left to trade that they can afford to move? Contreras? Who becomes their catcher then? Almora/Happ? Who plays center? Schwarber? They aren’t going to create two holes to fill one (that doesn’t even appear to be a hole to begin with). With everything the Cubs would need to do in order to add Harper, it doesn’t make them a better team, AND it hurts their future.- Machado signs with Padres 10/300
Considering the Cubs have zero depth, no, they won’t package all those guys together. Trading what little cost controlled guys they have to move dead contracts off the books makes them a worse team. They have very real SP issues that will begin to creep up on them this season. If they are smart, which that FO absolutely is, they are going to allowcate whatever available funds they have left to shoring up holes in order to extend that window of contention. That division is going to be tough. - Machado signs with Padres 10/300
