Yea your probably right. Good friends, close family, workout buddies, work in the same industry. There’s so much to like there. I’m sure he’s given Machado space to do his thing, but there’s no way it hasn’t come up in conversation. And that’s not even throwing Jay into the mix.

He has to have at least some inkling to where he is going to end up. I find it impossible to believe they haven’t discussed it.

There’s no concrete evidence to suggest that’s who is involved.

Logistically, it most likely has to be for guys already on the 40-man roster. The Sox are maxed. Bummer and Fulmer make a lot of sense. I don't think we're gonna have to worry about our prospects.

There absolutely is going to be some movement at some point. Hahn even mentioned prospect for prospect trades a few times. Dunning would be tough, he seems like a really solid bet to crack the rotation. I'm really curious to see who out of the OF bunch sticks around.

Yea, you respond to that after the meeting takes place. I believe it was discussed after his Yankees meeting. Seems oddly placed to discuss that at this point, this far into the process. Unless the media are legitimately grasping at any other Machado content they haven't already beaten to death.

I don't think it is. None of the other Barstool Chicago guys tweeted anything. In fact, one of them replied asking if it was Joc.

Really surprised seeing Madrigal over Kopech and Cease. I’d love to know how far out Adolfo was - he seems like he could possibly sneak in at the tail end of some lists.

What's the chance they actually are waiting until SoxFest? With the way this offseason has gone, nothing would surprise me.
