  1. Go take a look at his instagram. He's batshit.
  2. And what team would be willing to hand over $50M for 1 year? No reports have even suggested that is a possibility, plus a lot of the heavy hitters are close to the luxury tax and can't afford to do so.
  3. I always liked the idea of what Lawrie could bring. Too bad he's a bit nuts and couldn't get past the injuries. Hope nobody in the Brewers training staff offers him orthotics...
  4. Was posted earlier. I find it odd that on the 1% chance this is legit, they aren't talking money. This deep into the game, I'm sure there are full fledged contracts outlined. But who knows, maybe I don't know anything about how these deals are negotiated, but it seems pretty logical to me.
  5. He's really going all in on this. Doubling, Tripling, etc.
  6. If that rain delay doesn't happen, Indians win that game.
  7. You’re simplifying this way too much. Do you really think Cubs are going to deplete their team even more to add a superstar? Who do they have left to trade that they can afford to move? Contreras? Who becomes their catcher then? Almora/Happ? Who plays center? Schwarber? They aren’t going to create two holes to fill one (that doesn’t even appear to be a hole to begin with). With everything the Cubs would need to do in order to add Harper, it doesn’t make them a better team, AND it hurts their future.
  8. Considering the Cubs have zero depth, no, they won’t package all those guys together. Trading what little cost controlled guys they have to move dead contracts off the books makes them a worse team. They have very real SP issues that will begin to creep up on them this season. If they are smart, which that FO absolutely is, they are going to allowcate whatever available funds they have left to shoring up holes in order to extend that window of contention. That division is going to be tough.
  9. This would be great. Wish it would end this week!
  10. I hated it for fantasy. My big league I do every year requires you to set your lineup for the week, so 10 days screws you over because you need to really know the status of the player or risk losing out on production.
  11. It really got abused. Glad it's going back to 15 days.
  12. Ironic though... *cough, cough* Russell *cough, cough* Osuna *cough, cough*
  13. I never believed the leaked offer to begin with. The article comes off to me as guesswork by the writer.
  14. Don’t believe it. I do think anyone but the Sox FO and Manny’s camp know the actual numbers. That article just takes Nightengale’s report and runs with it.
  15. Hahahaha, no fucking way he's getting $36.5 AAV
  16. Has there ever been a surprise press conference to announce a FA of Manny's talent level? Seems unlikely. They'd make an announcement first.
  17. Look at the contract that Yusei Kikuchi signed with the Mariners. Link
  18. My thoughts exactly!
  19. I think it should be implemented for pitchers that start games at the very least. I'm not crazy about it for the later innings unless they expand rosters to 26. You would almost have to carry an extra pitcher because I think it could be an issue for some guys durability over the course of a season.
  20. Link I saw it in a tweet earlier, but I found it also in a Ben Lindberg article of The Ringer/Effectively Wild podcast. Looks like it’s a article from the middle of the year, so it could be even worse than that.
  21. Some really odd takes by these guys that I didn’t agree with. I got the impression they really don’t have much knowledge about the Sox. Clint’s knowledge was leaps and bounds ahead of them.
