I think these guys misunderstood Rodon's quote. It was "shit or get off the pot," not "shit the bed."

Obviously trying for a DP off a Covey sinker. But this is a bad idea. Guess Jones and Herrera can't pitch back-2-back games?

Unbelievable. Let Cordell stay up when Jay comes back. Send down Engel.

I think you're thinking about the season as a whole. Pretty sure he went hitless in his first 50 AB's or so - got a lot of comparison's to Ventura because of it.

Hawk being a fan of the team is what I miss the most. For Stoney and Benetti, it's a paycheck. Hawk was relatable because he suffered through the same shit we did as fans and you could hear it in his voice. That's not to say Hawk was perfect, but I'd rather have a fan of the team I'm watching announce games. I think that's the one thing from Benetti that I can't quite get used to is how his emotion seems so forced. I like some of the analytics he brings to the game, but I'm not sold on him.

I would probably say Sale personally.

Just once it would be nice to see a Sox top prospect not struggle from the start.

Probably just trying to get him some protection and better pitch selection to get him going, but yeah... I don’t like seeing him that high.

- March 31st 2019 White Sox vs. Royals
I apologize, it's my fault. Turned on the t.v. and immediate saw the base hit...- Most important thing this big league season...
Agreed. Anderson is important, but I don't think anyone is looking at him as a key cog in the rebuild. He's a very solid complementary guy, but not a player on the same level/expectation as Eloy/Yoan. If he could be a .250 20/20 guy out of the 8 hole, I think we'd all be able to live with that.- 3/30- Sox at Royals, 1:15 CDT, NBCSC
Nope. The Twins chose to remove him from the 40, which required him to go on waivers. He still had options though.- 3/30- Sox at Royals, 1:15 CDT, NBCSC
Palka has options.- 3/30- Sox at Royals, 1:15 CDT, NBCSC
Watching these first two games. I don't think MLB fully realizes how much longer games are going to be with the 3 batter minimum rule. Rebuilding teams' games are going to total 4 hours easy.- Zack Collins at First Base
Wasn't there rumors that he had some serious personal issues going on around the time that were being kept hush-hush? I thought I remember hearing something about his kid or something along the lines of that.- Why did Kodi Medeiros drop out of Top-30 Prospects?
Vast majority of people also consider him a future reliever, even though the Sox keep starting him (and there's nothing wrong with that development path). You don't see many relievers ranked in the Top 30.- 2019 Minor League Infields
I wouldn't be surprised to see Michalczewski start in Birmingham for maybe a month or so. Sox also have D.J. Peterson and Ramon Torres who I would expect start in Charlotte. Getting rid of Elmore and Alvarez helped free up that logjam in Charlotte.- 2019 MiLB catch all thread
Jake Elmore was traded to Pittsburgh as well. Sucks Alvarez couldn't make it. I always rooted for that guy.- 2019 Predictions
Jimenez hits 28 HR's, 84 RBI's with a solid .278 AVG. Abreu bounces back and maintains a .300 AVG and 100 RBI's, but only hits 26 HR's. Moncada joins the 20/20 club and finishes under 200 K's. Rondon ends the season as the starting 2B, hits 16 HR's. Yolmer becomes the backup IF. Jay is DFA by early-June. Alonso is traded at the deadline after leading the team in HR's the first half. We end up b****ing about how bad the return is, and convince ourselves Call was a better prospect. Madrigal ends the year in Charlotte. Nate Jones either gets DFA'd in August, or gets hurt and misses most of the season. Hansen completely falls off the prospect radar. Steel Walker forces himself into the top 10 Sox prospects.- Bryce Bush and Lenyn Sosa to Kanny to start year
I wonder if they’ll move Bush around position wise. I’ve read some takes that suggest he might end up in LF and that his glove isn’t so great. At 19, I’m sure he’ll improve in some manner, but I do wonder just how bad of a fielder he actually is in the hot corner.- 2019 MLB draft thread
Interesting what will happen now with Vaughn coming back down to earth. If he’s not as elite as he originally seemed, would the Sox take him or choose a more toolsy guy with more upside?- Predict the White Sox Record After 30 Games
I came out with 15-15. How exciting.- Guess the Opening Day 25 Man
Brandon Guyer is back on a MiLB deal. Probably temporary filler since Cordell is up.- Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
His stats certainly aren’t anything to get excited about, but I’m sure his age has to have a factor in that as well. Seems to be one of the more talented guys available on the international market by all reports. Sox need to keep adding talent to the system. Hopefully there’s a few other guys they are looking at as well.- Jay injury update
I don't think anyone really cares. - March 31st 2019 White Sox vs. Royals
