6/27 Games #CeaseDay
Just because it’s old doesn’t make it still true. Let’s say he was terrible back then and made some improvements. Based on the way they’ve worded it, I’d still expect him to be below average. It’s not like the Sox have been aggressive with him either, and that tells me they realize he most likely isn’t anything more than an organizational bat. He is 26 and just now made it to Triple-A.

6/27 Games #CeaseDay
From what I read, he's always had a strong arm, but struggles with everything else. Per BA after the 2016 season when he was still with the Orioles:

Yonder DFA'd
About damn time. Get Palka back up here too. Garcia, CF Moncada, 3B Jimenez, LF Abreu, 1B McCann, C Collins, DH Anderson, SS Palka, RF Sanchez, 2B I want to see that lineup with Castillo, Cordell, and Jay on the bench.

Anderson leaves game with apparent injury
Just pay attention to Charlotte’s lineup tonight and we should be able to figure out who is coming up. Mendick, Escobar, and Goins play pretty much everyday.

6/25 Games
Deservedly so. Rocking a solid 41% K% this year.

Favorite Personal White Sox Player Interaction
One of the best I've had was with Tyler Flowers of all people. I had a broken, game-used bat of his and handed it to him to have it signed. He was joking that he has signed so many during his session, and didn't know why the Sox were getting rid of all of them. It was authenticated so it had a MLB holo on it, and I had looked it up before hand to see the result. He wanted to know what the result was, so I told him. Ground into a 6-4-3 DP against the Twins. He sighed and goes, "yeah... I do that a lot." Thomas, Pierzynski, Ozzie, Buehrle, Wise, Delmonico, Palka, Anderson, and Courtney Hawins have all been great too. I've probably met close to 200+ players at this point, so I have quite a few stories/interactions. Some of the worst have been Sale, Aardsma, and Jenks.

Anderson leaves game with apparent injury
Anderson did witness Burger blow his out. I'm sure that is what happened. Regardless, who cares - he got best case scenario.

Why not let him bunt? He can still crawl can't he?!?

Anderson leaves game with apparent injury
Fingers crossed. Might have missed a big one.

Jon Jay reinstated
I think Cole is going to start with Corbin's deal and go from there, which unfortunately removes the Sox from even having any remote chance. If they end up with a starter it's going to be a Tier B starter.

Hahn is trolling us.

2019 MiLB catch all thread
No joke, but Hector Santiago is back on a MiLB deal: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/06/white-sox-sign-hector-santiago-2.html

GT Chicago vs Chicago, 6/19/19, 7:05 CT
Was just going to say the same thing. Jay is on the 60-day, so someone is going to have to be DFA. Not sure there's anyone they can transfer for that long of a period. Maybe Burr?

2019 MiLB catch all thread
Sox apparently have picked up OF Jacob Scavuzzo. He was released by the Padres at the beginning of June. Never heard of the guy, but appears to have decent power.

RF options are bleak...any other ideas?
He is, but he's been hurt for over a month. No clue what's wrong with him.

Let's talk Eloy hitting cleanup
Personally, I'd like to see this right now: 2. Moncada 3. Jimenez 4. Abreu 5. McCann

Trade for Clint Frazier?
I don't think the Sox have anything the Yankees would want. I'd be shocked if they move him for anything other than a MLB caliber starter.
-
Trade for Clint Frazier?
Frazier apparently did not report to SWB yesterday. He has until tonight to do so but he’s clearly taking his sweet ass time getting there. Also read he unfollowed a lot of Yankees IG accounts. Pretty apparent he’s trying to send a message to the Yankees.

What are chances Eloy belts out a "Hi Cubs!!!" in the postgame interview? HAHAHA

GRate to get Netting to the Foul Poles
C'mon, you know I'm referring to these type of catches:
-
GRate to get Netting to the Foul Poles
I have a feeling in a few years we'll end up seeing this.
-
GRate to get Netting to the Foul Poles
Effectively Wild podcast recently debated this and the best argument they could come up with against the netting is that it will impact the player-fan interaction that MLB already struggles with. We aren't going to get to see any of those great into-the-stands diving catches anymore, and it will be harder for kids to interact with players before games. That is a shame to some degree.

Collins getting called up
Gonna be hard for him with Hamels and Lester expected to start. I'd be surprised if we see him starting either game against the Cubs lefties.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
He’s been pretty dominate this year, so I don’t think he’s at the bottom, but the Sox need to ask themselves is it worth acquiring another Ryan Cordell-type player due to the amount of arms available? All the bullpen arms we thought would be the foundation have had issues. Fry regressed, Burdi has not returned to form, Burr, Hamilton, and Johnson are hurt. Vieira and Ruiz are wildly inconsistent. I think Colome has more value at the present to the Sox than other teams. You only move him if you get an overpay, which I think is unlikely.
