  1. He came from Baltimore originally if I'm not mistaken. I would think they already have a decent idea on what he offers.
  2. Gotta give this lineup credit for clawing back and making this a game after such a horrid start.
  3. Wouldn't be surprised if he might be fighting dead arm. I believe his FB velo was lower than usual. He also had a bit of bad luck. An infield single hit off of 3B and shot straight up.
  4. Probably one of those cases where a new blood hire with zero MLB experience was brought in and rubbed too many old school player development staff the wrong way.
  5. Honestly wouldn't be surprised. I have such low expectations until this team is sold and everyone gets fired. It's a shame. Love the players, pretty much despise everyone else.
  6. That's what happens when Yolmer dumps it all. None left.
  7. Adams definitely is a good comp, but I would still be shocked to see Dalquist reach two levels next year. Sox seem to operate much more conservatively than they did when Adams was his age.
  8. I feel like this guy is gonna be a steal. Really excited to see how he does next season.
  9. Absolutely. A nice piece if he can continue to figure it out.
  10. Well, Hahn did say Robert was tired. A well rested Luis Robert probably has a 40 game power grade.
  11. WSI

I started off on WSI and was a lurker here for years before signing up. Started seeing much better discussions here and jumped ship. Wish I would have done it sooner. I wasn't even around on here for 2005, and I wish I had been.
  12. Sox didn't do him any service by skipping the rehab outing.
  13. Not sure where to put this:
  14. Wish I would have. I saw someone post on twitter and they got a Moncada signed stuff.
  15. Godley is 29. Gohara just turned 23.
  16. How many pitchers can say their first MLB AB came against a position player?
  17. Roman Quinn pitching? Phillies trying to give this game away?
  18. That could make sense as to why 29 teams didn't have any interest in him.
  19. Goes both ways too. Not a good look to call out a team that gave you a job when you had no business being in the majors the year prior. He played well, but everyone and their mother knew he didn't have a chance in hell to be a solution at the major league level.
  20. I think Rutherford not progressing the way everyone thought he would has really soured a lot of people's perception on him. He's already matched his total HR output he had last year while competing at a higher level, a MUCH harder park to hit in, and in 100 less AB's. There is still much need for improvement, but considering he's already made the jump and is having [limited] success in Double-A after the horrid start he had, I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually reach the majors in some capacity. It just seems like he is going to do it at a much decelerated pace as you would hope from a former top 100 prospect. Plenty of guys make their debuts at 25-26 years old, and he is still just 22. The good thing is that neither of these guys are expected to be cornerstones of the rebuild, so anything we get out of them is a bonus.
  21. Did not see this anywhere, but Seby is also coming up.
