WSI
I started off on WSI and was a lurker here for years before signing up. Started seeing much better discussions here and jumped ship. Wish I would have done it sooner. I wasn't even around on here for 2005, and I wish I had been.

8/6 | Sox @ Tigers GM2 | Santiago vs VerHagen | 6:10pm CT
Sox didn't do him any service by skipping the rehab outing.

And That's a White Sox Winner !
Not sure where to put this:

Yep. Can't catch a break.- Sox @ Phillies 6:05 CDT NBCSN-CHI Nova vs. Vargas
How many pitchers can say their first MLB AB came against a position player?- Sox @ Phillies 6:05 CDT NBCSN-CHI Nova vs. Vargas
Roman Quinn pitching? Phillies trying to give this game away?- Sox @ Phillies 6:05 CDT NBCSN-CHI Nova vs. Vargas
Skole giving it to the haters.- Braves release LHP Luis Gohara
That could make sense as to why 29 teams didn't have any interest in him.- Alcides Escobar Released
Goes both ways too. Not a good look to call out a team that gave you a job when you had no business being in the majors the year prior. He played well, but everyone and their mother knew he didn't have a chance in hell to be a solution at the major league level.- Rutherford vs. Walker
I think Rutherford not progressing the way everyone thought he would has really soured a lot of people's perception on him. He's already matched his total HR output he had last year while competing at a higher level, a MUCH harder park to hit in, and in 100 less AB's. There is still much need for improvement, but considering he's already made the jump and is having [limited] success in Double-A after the horrid start he had, I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually reach the majors in some capacity. It just seems like he is going to do it at a much decelerated pace as you would hope from a former top 100 prospect. Plenty of guys make their debuts at 25-26 years old, and he is still just 22. The good thing is that neither of these guys are expected to be cornerstones of the rebuild, so anything we get out of them is a bonus.- AJ Reed optioned
Did not see this anywhere, but Seby is also coming up.- Rutherford vs. Walker
As big of a Steele fan as I am, I actually went with Rutherford. I think his floor could end up being Ryan Sweeney 2.0- 7/31 Games
I don't think it's going to affect anyone too much. Most likely just push Mendick to 3B. I think Skole has been there the past few games, and he's normally a 1B. With Moncada going down, can't imagine this is even an issue until he's healthy.- 7/31 Mets @ Sox 7:10 pm NBCSN-CHI de Grom vs. Giolito
They absolutely rushed both of them IMO. Eloy didn't even get a chance to have a rehab assignment.- Danny Farquhar returns to the Sox
I want to read that so bad, but I know I'll just get so much more frustrated with this FO.- Danny Farquhar returns to the Sox
Yep, hopefully he's good at applying that information to others. Good hire.- Moncada to IL, out at least 2 weeks per Merkin
Both Mendick & Escobar are in the lineup tonight for Charlotte. Seems odd that the Sox wouldn't have his replacement already on their way if they know he is headed for the DL.- Moncada to IL, out at least 2 weeks per Merkin
- A bunch of promotions (reportedly including Madrigal to AAA)

2.096 WHIP, 13.4 H/9, 2.3 HR/9, 5.4 BB in 73 IP in Triple-A doesn’t help either. Nothing about that even remotely suggests the guy would have any success at the major league level. He flat out sucked this season. After all, this was a Rule 5 guy for 2 years now that no-one bothered to give a chance. I think the Sox finally decided to move on.- Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I hope your right, I just don’t expect Hahn to be as aggressive as we all hope. Although no news usually is a positive when it comes to this FO.- Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I don’t think he’s gonna get moved. That Rangers/Braves deal seems right on the money for what I would have liked to see for Colome. Can’t imagine the Braves would rather have Martin than a proven commodity like Colome. Phillies added Blake Parker earlier too. Seems like the rumored teams interested have moved on. - Sox @ Phillies 6:05 CDT NBCSN-CHI Nova vs. Vargas
