Well this isn’t good. Maybe explains why he was so bad his last two starts. I never really considered Rodon a major piece for the rebuild, but this could still be a big blow if it’s serious. Here’s hoping this is precautionary.

I certainly think there is an outside chance Robert could pull a Juan Soto, but I do not think it's very likely to happen. One thing to keep in mind with that comparison, is Soto was close to a 20% BB% in A+ last season and walks a ridiculous amount in the majors. Robert is at 3.6% currently. We all need to temper expectations as he moves up. It's fun to see him succeeding like this and he's extremely talented, but let him get his AB's accordingly. That off speed stuff only gets tougher as you move up.

I hate when fans do that. You literally have a piece of MLB history in your hands. Keep it, give it to a kid, or let an opposing fan have it who will appreciate it. And that's an excellent problem to have. Sox will move the guys they can't accommodate for equal quality talent that fill other areas of need. Hahn has even mentioned as such that they have explored prospect-for-prospect trades in the past, but did not pull the trigger. Eloy, Basabe, Robert, Gonzalez, Adolfo, Rutherford, and Walker are not all going to get a chance to play on the White Sox. In fact, I'd even go so far to say I would not be surprised to see one of them moved this season.

You can’t worry about what the system needs. Go BPA and worry about it later. Better to build depth and trade for need than draft for need.

Not disagreeing, it was a terribly managed game. At least the Sox don’t see any value carrying Covey on the current roster construction.
