  1. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) Scherzer at 69 pitches...even if Sox don't score this inning, need to make him throw 20. 3 pitches...2 out.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) why couldn't ozzie/joey get alexei to do that? One of the great mysteries...
  4. This game has a real 2011 feel...just really depressing offense. The only fun thing to do in the Sox half innings is keeping track of pitch count.
  5. Obviously our offense didn't get the memo to bring the offense against a team like the Tigers.
  6. Anybody else see Gordon sitting courtside at the Bulls game with a hottie blonde by his side lastnight? I wish I was him... .170 average and all.
  7. Another good inning for Jake. So far so good the first time through the order.
  8. Great way to start the day...now I can be in a good mood at work tonight. Happy Beckham finally broke through and hit a ball hard. Anybody else think that RV was just messing with everyone with that line-up yesterday knowing that the game was gonna be postponed? Edit: I see I was late to that party with the Ventura line-up yesterday...already mentioned. Sorry. Wasn't able to be on lastnight or this morning.
  9. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 03:06 PM) I could have had 100 guesses at today's line-up, and I wouldn't have matched this. Hopefully, that's a good thing. Well...we know RV is creative at least.
  10. I would rather see DeAzas' days off come against LHP...
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Let's see more out of Humber...to me, he's a greater concern than Sale, who I think ends p being our best SP... Although Humber fell off a cliff toward the end of last season, he was just too good for too many starts not to be at least a serviceable fifth starter.
  12. Sale looked great. The Sox look like they have 5 starters that are going to give them a chance to win everyday...can't ask for anything more than that...well, maybe some offense.
  13. I'm super excited to see Sale and Humber...Humber was so good in the first half last year. Hopefully he'll find it again this season.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 10:08 PM) Sure, it's where you get to 2-3-4 games per week sitting that you're going to get arguments from the "developmental year" side of the ledger folks. Considering everyone stays healthy...Rios starting 145 games, Viciedo 140, DeAza 140, Fuko in the 90-100 neighborhood (maybe spelling at DH as well) would not stop the development of anyone, and actually allow Fuko to earn the money that he is making as well...which he isn't getting 1 AB every three games. If Fuko is such a hot starter in April, then by all means...get the guy in there. We certainly start enough slow starters in April.
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) I would rather see the kids play. The fight for 3rd place in the AL central is not enough to start older players. You see what you have. If it sucks, then get better players. No more playing Pierre in front of DeAza because he is a vet crap. DeAza and Viciedo will still get their starts and AB's...but if Fuko is our best offensive option right now I don't see any reason why he can't platoon with all of the outfielders. Giving Rios, DeAza and Viciedo days off during the week. I really doubt it would stunt the growth of Alejandro or Dayan if they sit once a week. And until it is categorically proven that this team sucks as bad as prognosticators say, then the best possible line-up should be trotted out there.
  16. Between the Bulls and Sox...I'd say a pretty damn cruddy Easter.
  17. I think we gave the world a good showing tonight...anybody other than us watching the last 4 or 5 innings? I'm doubting it.
