  1. Leaving Thornton in here. Unbelievable.
  2. Didn't Wilson hit a game winning hr against Jenks a couple years ago?
  3. Ball was down...come on...do we not read scouting reports?
  4. No double play. No double play. No double play.
  5. Come on Dunn...jesus. DOOOOO SOMETHING.
  6. This is just pathetic. Forget scoring a run. Two no-hitters in 3 games?
  7. I predict the Sox spoil my mood after watching a masterful Bulls victory.
  8. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 5, 2011 -> 09:57 PM) Pierre and AJ are KILLING this team this season. To be fair, there really aren't many guys who AREN'T killing this team right now.
  9. At least the Indians won again
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2011 -> 07:56 AM) I've got no problem with Vizquel playing. Every time he's in there he makes things happen. He made a loss happen yesterday by missing signs and not covering second on that bunt in the 6th.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:01 PM) Damn you Cliff Pennington. That flare to center was the beginning of the end of this season. This...from the very next INNING it was over.
  12. Golf and poker...although I will probably watch til the bitter end.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 4, 2011 -> 07:25 PM) After this road trip, the season will officially be over. I hope the Sox accordingly start to make some changes and plan for the future. Losing two straight to Minnesota in the Cell, a horrible team that entered the series in as big a mess as Chicago, tells you all you need to know about our team. Also, losing 3 of four to Baltimore, a team about to get boatraced by the Royals in Kauffman, tells you how horrid the Sox are. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the "rebuilding" mode in action. Again, after a 2-7 or 1-8 trip, even Ozzie, Kenny, Jerry will realize it's time to rebuild, reload or whatever you want to call it. Start selling off the pieces. I, for one, am going to hold out hope for better days for at least a little bit longer. I really don't want a summer on meaningless baseball. The odds are drastically leaning towards a total blowup here...but here's hoping for a 2010 type run.
  14. If the Sox can steal game one in Seattle...some how. Some way...they could go 5-4 on the trip. I really think this is a good time to head west, and get as far away from the Cell as possible. Sox fans are angry, and you can feel it with every Sox misplay or unclutch moment. Go west, where nothing much is expected...and come back with a 16-25 record.
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) Maybe we can get things turned around in Seattle? I'll let you know as I will be there. Stay tuned Of course we hit Seattle's 1-2-3...King Felix Friday. Ugh...
  16. Clarification on the Vizquel steal attempt with Pierre at the plate in the 6th...According to Ozzie, it was Vizquel who missed the sign and not Pierre. Vizquel thought the hit and run was on, when in fact, it was not. So even Omar with mental mistakes right now. He also was the one who was supposed to be covering first on the bunt in the 6th...Vizquel was pretty much the reason we lost today if you ask me...everyone getting in the suckfest this season.
  17. That had to be a missed hit and run.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:12 PM) Checked it out...was in the Soria comeback game to cut it to 2 run game. Pretty sure that was an infield hit to deep short was it not?
  19. Cy Blackburn... 4-4 getting the lead-off man aboard...one run.
  20. Nice slide Mark! Some baseball there!
  21. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) The solo HR arrives again. At least we weren't up or down 4 or 5 runs when he hit it.
