Me neither, I just watch and feel like I've had the same experience for a lot less money.

I am not drinking tonight because I am the driver. Why do I do this? Because my wife is much less inhibited when she is drunk.

Should The Sox Buy the Old Post Office For A New Stadium?

Vegas is going to have a hard time supporting a pro sports team, with the possible exception of NBA. Too many other entertainment options to compete with. Do I want to go watch a baseball game or go see a dozen showgirls' titties for a couple hours??? -

I don't think there are many, if any, cities that are actively trying to get MLB teams. If there were, Tampa wouldn't still be in Tampa. The only real threat to the Sox leaving Illinois is NW Indiana deciding to build a stadium. -

Two observations: 1) Cutler is not good 2) There aren't many, if any options that are better than Cutler -

After yesterday's games, the SEC West is now 28-1 against non-conference opponents. -
I haven't read anything suggesting that a final decision has been made whether or not to retire his number. As of right now, they are simply not issuing the number. I'm fine with them not issuing the number for a few years to give some time to put historical context to his playing/managing career.

I figure a better plan is for the Bears to Hire Tommy C and the Packers hire Kelly to replace him. -

Good. I hope he gets really mad and leaves. -
Stephen Drew can be both 1) much better than Leury Garcia and 2) not good

Notre Dame is pretty much in the same boat. I guess MSU has been ranked this season even though they aren't now, but outside of them ND's list of wins is a who's who of the worst teams in DI. Also, ND lost to Providence, who is a lot worse than the teams that have beaten OSU. -

ND is playing in a bowl game in the closest possible location to me, only 180 miles away, and I didn't go. Not only that, I didn't even take the afternoon off from work to watch it on TV. How sad is that? -
At the very least he will hit lefties better than Gillaspie, and he would be above average defensively at 3B/2B and passable at SS.

I think a decision on retiring #13 is one that needs some more time for some context. If we get 10+ years down the road and the Sox haven't won another WS, or even reached one, I think that makes Ozzie more significant in a historical context. Personally, I think the guy is a total asshole, but he took a team that was nowhere near the most talented in the league and won 99 games and then 11-1 in the postseason.

Now that it has become so easy to look up players' platoon splits, everybody has gone off the deep end on wanting platoons. A major league roster carries 25 players, and just about every team carries 12 pitchers. After 9 starting position players you have four bench spots left. Your backup catcher rarely is able to play other positions, so that leaves three bench spots to cover 7 other spots on the field. You don't have the luxury to really use more than one of these as a platoon. The only guy on the Sox that is really a platoon candidate is Gillaspie. The other guys are going to have splits and you're going to have to live with them. If their overall numbers are good, then that's fine. Especially don't worry about lefties who have bad splits vs LHP. Remember, they are never going to have to face two of the three best lefty starters in the AL. Who knows, that may have been a factor in getting LaRoche. "Let's see, I go to the White Sox and never, ever have to bat against Chris Sale? Sign me up!!"

The three most important position coaches in the NFL are OL, ST, and DL, probably in that order. I want a GM and HC who understand this and who have the ability to find the best possible guys for those positions. -
Beckham would actually be a good person to be a platoon with Gillaspie at 3B and backup for 2B. It would be very unusual for a team to bring back a former starter as a platoon/bench player though.

I think D'Antonio needs to find a new job. He took advantage of a period where Michigan had Hoke and OSU had scandals. It's going to get a lot harder for him to win games, and now is probably his best chance to move up. -
