I would be shocked if they drafted Susac. Haven’t seen or read any connections with the Sox.
-
LSU has put so much money in their baseball program. Heard it will take a lot of money to get some of their recruits to sign. Doesn’t benefit the Sox having the 3rd lowest budget.
-
Fangraphs haven’t updated the Boards yet. Braves dropped to 30th because of the recent trade.
-
I was getting nervous about this after seeing all the main draft guru’s hinting from their sources they were going that route.

I do have concerns with the mlb draft this week. Will Hahn feel pressured to draft college players closer to the majors with being on the hot seat. I hope they stick to last years draft strategy and go the prep route again.
-
I know it’s a pipe-dream because it’s Reinsdorf, but I hope he cleans house at the end of the year and goes outside the organization like his son did with the Bulls. I can dream.

I hope there is some truth to TLR walking away. This situation just keeps getting worse by the day. The players have quit!!!

Baseball America: Colson Montgomery #38 on Top 100 Update
PolishPrince34 replied to bmags's topic in FutureSox Board
I think Colas age and being only at A Ball is a huge factor that will keep him off the lists. -
Totally agree! I’m staying away from anyone with shoulder issues. Way too risky. It seems like a lot of insiders are changing their tune and saying Sox are heavy on pitching in the first round.

Keith Law 3.0 Mock draft 26. Chicago White Sox: Robby Snelling, LHP, McQueen High (Reno) I’ve only heard pitching here, including Snelling (which I think would be a great outcome for the White Sox), Hjerpe (of course, since he gets compared to Chris Sale by his adherents) and Blade Tidwell.

I'm staying away from a guy who just had shoulder surgery. No chance I would consider Rocker. Way too risky!

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
PolishPrince34 replied to Look at Ray Ray Run's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Montgomery is an infielder and is playing his first year of professional ball. There is no need to rush his development as a player. Sox have not done that too many times where it has backfired. Montgomery needs to continue playing SS as long as possible. I see a lot similarities defensively and offensively with Corey Seager size and skills. I can't think of one good reason to rush a 20 year old who has played two weeks in High A Ball to the MLB roster. -

That’s a crazy idea!!! -
https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/34160528/2022-mlb-mock-draft-20-kiley-mcdaniel-projects-first-41-picks-odds-no-1-overall Kiley McDaniel Dylan Beavers, RF, Cal I think the White Sox will play cleanup on the back end of this run of college bats. Since a similar group of scouts/execs took a college power hitter with a divisive hand move (Zack Collins in 2016) at 10th overall, I could totally see them taking another divisive hand-move guy in Beavers this year.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)

Just reported on the Score Colas is unhappy to still be in A Ball. Thinks he can help the major league league team. -
Also, wanted to trade Andrew Vaughn for Mitch Keller!!!

Can the White Sox right the ship without making any major moves?
PolishPrince34 replied to VAfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I understand might not get much for Harrison and I know Engle is hurt. They can be sweeteners in deals to help with teams benches in the fall. There would be a ton of teams still lining up for Giolito thinking they can fix him. Dodgers would be one of those organizations that need SP. We aren’t signing Giolito long-term. -

I’d be looking to trade some of our players. Lynn, Giolito, Engle, Abreu, Harrison, Sheets, Cueto. Help the farm again and reload in the off-season. This team has so many flaws right now. Probably won’t happen. -
Tucker Toman https://soxmachine.com/general/2022-draft-profile-tucker-toman-3b/

I have a big issue with Eloy’s batting stance. I think that front leg has caused issues with his swing. It continues to become dramatically stranger each year.

Low Energy Premature trade winds…Jazz Chisholm 2B/Marlins
PolishPrince34 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Jazz is close to being a star player. Can’t see Marlins trading him. Pipedream. Would be fun to watch Robert, Anderson, and Chisholm up the middle. -

Big hit -
Keith Law’s 2nd mock is up. White Sox taking Cooper Hjerpe LHP. I would hate this pick. Definitely reliever profile with that arm slot.
-
MLB network has the the draft combine right now. Tucker Toman has impressive quick swing. avg exit velocity was impressive.
-
1. Brock Porter 2. Tucker Toman 3. Carson Wisenhunt 4. Drew Gilbert or Jacob Melton sorry was going back and forth
