  1. Law had him #65 on his board . Hodge is an athletic catcher with a 65 arm, and he has good bat speed with some feel to hit despite getting too much over his front side. It’s a very handsy approach as a result, without getting much help from his lower half, and the bat speed is solid but not great. There’s some additional potential power here if he stays back on the ball more, which might also help his contact rate; he doesn’t expand the zone much but has had issues with contact when pitchers change speeds on him, with an overall whiff rate of 38 percent in tracked events from 2024-25. He’s committed to LSU.
  2. Sox loading up on the catching. Surprised by this pick.
  3. Does anyone have the link yet for mlb coverage? MLB is hiding it.
  4. Surprised Conrad went 17. Kiley had him going to us in the 2nd round.
  5. Toronto taking Arnold that’s awesome!
  6. Kiley McDaniel mentioned every team in the top 10 except for Rockies really trying to cut deals.
  7. That stinks! No chance Parker will be there at 10.
  8. Keith Law’s last mock. Jamie Arnold Player Profile School: Florida State, Bats: L, Throws: L I’ve heard the White Sox on Arnold, Liam Doyle, Steele Hall, Kruz Schoolcraft and JoJo Parker. I worry that the Arnold/Doyle rumors are just because everyone assumes the White Sox will take any good lefty with a funky delivery
  9. Hard pass on LaViolette! The strikeout numbers are ridiculously high and the track record of that transitioning to pro ball isn’t great. Those type of players usually don’t pan out 99.9% of the time.
  10. That would be brutal if they drafted Schoolcraft.
  11. Noticed Eduardo Herrera has been catching down in the DSL.
  12. Thought it would bring more attention during All star festivities! Big mistake!
  13. Bonemar is 19 years old. Let him develop. There is no need to rush him. The Sox have ruined many players by rushing their development. It's his first year in pro ball, and it's a grind. I'm fine with him staying the whole year in Low A or maybe sending him up to High A the last month of the season.
