For 1 year of Burnes I think it’s a fair deal. Obviously Elias was trying to pawn off the same two players and I’m glad Getz said hell no to that return with the headliner of Ortiz.

Don’t have too much information on Mike Shirley’s #2 Asst Director of Amateur Scouting Charlie Guest. I know he was drafted and played for the White Sox around 20 years ago. What are the insiders thoughts on Guest’s competency (Skills/viewed by the league) as our #2?

Gilbert, Williams, and Houck for Cease. I think Dirty Sox might of mentioned this earlier. I’m on board with this move.

I’m really starting to warmup to the Mets prospects. There farm system is loaded and have nice mix guys right at the door of MlB team and high ceiling players at the lower levels. Would love any of these prospects in the deal. Gilbert, Acuna, Williams , Houck, Tidwell, Ramirez, Clifford, and Scott.

Saw a special on the girl who accused Bauer of assault. Chick totally lied and set him up. Ridiculous he was out of baseball that long when it could have been solved so quickly.

I think that’s why the Baltimore posters are so eager to trade Ortiz because his value will continue to get dinged the longer he stays in the minors at age 26-27.

Biggest concern with Ortiz is his age. A 26 year old prospect headlining a deal would be a head scratcher.

I would love Arias being somehow in the deal! Love the 5 tools potential!

Luzardo has a pretty extensive history of injuries. I really wouldn’t trust him to stay healthy . Last year was the first time ever pitching over 101 innings in a season. Durability is a huge question with Luzardo. There is a reason why Marlins are listening on him.

I’m sure Elias is trying to sell some of those players to Getz, which is probably part of the problem. Ortiz already at 26 years old and has no where to play I’m sure is being pushed by Elias. I take a hard pass on Ortiz being the send piece in the trade just based on his age. I’m big fan of Norby as the 2nd piece in the deal.

Baltimore has #20, 31, 34 draft picks in 2024. Must be nice. You just hope that they go after Cease and give in to some of their depth in the minors that are being blocked. I was against throwing in Santos in the Cease deal, but I'm now open to it. Baltimore is the team that can help us the most to replenish our farm system/MLB team. Also, I trust their organization with the way they have been developing their young hitters.
