White Sox Survey...
I put embarrassed

Tyler Flowers
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 03:07 PM) It was a mistake, but it didn't cost the White Sox any trophies. Finding a really good catcher who can hit and play defense is a trick GMs pretty much luck into. I dont think asking a catcher to be good at one of the traits you stated above should be a problem. But right now he's been below average in both departments.

Potential waiver trades
Might be worth the claim just for the hell of it

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) As soon as Soto started playing more, his numbers would decline. Flowers used to be that guy. People couldn't wait for AJ to leave. I was not one of those people at all. Heck even at his age AJ is having a very nice year for Atlanta. I imagine he's not gonna play much longer. But so far that decision was a mistake and it's still ongoing.

His defense hasnt been good. He's hitting has been awful to say the least. His pitch framing doesnt count into WAR which shows he isnt average. He's just bad. But we cant do anything about it until December. I mean Soto could get more starts or more time batting at DH. But that would be too logical for this coaching staff.

Potential waiver trades
Mike Napoli hit waivers today or yesterday just fyi. May have already cleared.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:57 PM) Why send snide remarks to writers? Nine of 10 times they'll do what those 2 guys did. Block you. Those guys are paid poorly, work in a dying industry, have bosses that are complete assholes and they don't get paid overtime. They take 6 a.m. flights to save their dying companies money. Ballplayers for the most part hate them. Fans hate them. I read somewhere sportswriting ranked 200th of the 200 worst jobs in America. Last year it was 199, one better than lumberjack. Give those guys a break IMO. They know they have wretched jobs. If they cant take back what they dish out too bad.

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:48 PM) You're probably better off. Yeah I am. That's two Chicago writers for me. Michael C Wright got mad when I talked to two Jets writers about something he reported. Showed him he was wrong and he blocked me. Turned out I was right. The Bears did have enough money to sign a guard(he said we didnt) and the person he said we had no interest in was wrong. David Haugh said "Dumb comment, but I'm sure you amused yourself. Congrats." All I asked is why is he quiet on Robin's job now that we are on a losing streak. Apparently only when we're winning is it a good time to comment. What thin skin some of these guys have.

I got blocked by David Haugh for asking him why is he silent on Robin now that we're on a losing streak? He had no problem pointing out the great job he's doing during the run.

I just dont know what Hahn has done here to make anybody have confidence in him. The "right" moves he's made certainly are not really working moves. Adam Eaton right now is looking like his best acquisition. Heck we may not have gotten Jose Abreu if Kenny wasnt here. That's disturbing.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:26 PM) If RV, KW and Hahn all come back they will bail in droves, Watching the Colorado Rockies seems more appealing right now than that.

I'm just wondering what excuses Rick Hahn is going to give when the seasons over hoping to keep season ticket holders from bailing.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) Sad part is thought of bears having stable coaching staff every year and yet they keep playing the same. Well Fox is actually one of the few(by few I mean less than 3) experienced coaches that they've hired. Been 3 SBs(one with the Giants as a DC). He knows what he's doing.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) As a Bear fan I need something with the s***ty Sox. Hell last December I thought the Sox would give me some hope with the Bears in disarray. Now it's the other way around. Atleast the Bears have a stable coaching staff now.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) I say 5 wins but thought I would pass that along. Yeah I read the projections. I had them at 6-7. But here's the thing. With all the dysfunction last season. Marc Trestman being one of the worst Head Coaches I've ever seen. Aaron Kromer being outed as a rat. The defense letting teams score 21 points in the first quarter. Brandon Marshall going crazy. They still finished with 5 wins.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:54 PM) Did you see USA Today they projected season Bears 3-13 worst in football? Kick in the nuts they said packers over colts in Super Bowl. If that happens a lot of Bear fans will be on suicide watch lol. They arent going 3-13. That's a s*** projection. They have more talent on offense than quite a few other teams. Your not going to convince me the Jaguars and Bucs are suddenly going to jump ahead of them with major talent problems.

He should be pissed/angry. This team's direction on and off the field is bulls***.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:48 PM) It makes you wonder how he'd fare during a playoff race. Good thing it takes a competent general manager and team to figure that one out. Maybe when he's playing for the Dodgers we'll see.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:17 PM) Bad part is everyone knew this was going to happen, but people paid to do the actual job in front office very sad. I'm just so sick of this team beating around the bush. Actually try to make the right changes to win please. Before Chris Sale demands a trade or hits free agency. Sometime before then would be nice. Doing nothing during the deadline was really one of the worst moves this front office has made so far.
