  1. If you count Q as part of the rotation, then half of the rotation has been pretty great and the second half has been pretty lousy. I believe that you have to keep Q in the rotation. Danks will get more chances since he is coming back from rehab. That leaves Floyd and Humber. Both are pitching bad right now. I say move Humber into the long relief position since Floyd has more of a favorable history than Humber. Then you can do whatever you want with Stewart. it is crazy that you have to move the guy who threw the perfect game to the pen. But that is baseball. I hope our starters throw CG shutouts but enough of these no-hitters/perfect games. Pitchers tend to suck awhile after throwing them.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 04:30 PM) ^^ and I love that I am really surprised that his wife Posh doesn't make him play something from the Spice Girls
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) What kind of a throw was that? Good throw gets him. Halftime. We better own the second half. I don't like being out homered by the astronauts today. We need to hit a few balls into outer space.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) They just showed a very good view showing it to be a HR Not a bad way to buy some time for bullpen to get ready.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Justin Maxwell's stance/swing looks a lot like Adam Jones'. C'mon Plumber don't blow this game down the drain. Maxwells silver hammer goes yard with Bogus on first. White Sox trail now 4-3
  6. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) Jmart. Goes yard. Astronauts hitting hrs. This feels wrong. C'mon Hummer, roll over the Astroids. Maxwells Silver Hammer. Single and RBI. So far, no good. But still a long wy to go in this one. Humber, time to get Dumber bc smarter ain't workin'
  7. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) 1-0 HOU Jmart. Goes yard. Astronauts hitting hrs. This feels wrong. C'mon Hummer, roll over the Astroids.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) Hawk not pleased that Harrell just made us look foolish. We struck out twice against Locust? Not a good bottom inning but at least we remain tied
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:16 PM) Humber showing a lot of run on the fastball. As long as he can control it, it will treat him well. C'mon let us crate and Barrel over Harrell. George Lucas called and he wants his name back. There can only be one Lucas, you can be Locust.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:12 PM) Whatever Stoney is talking about with Humber being able to both "Cut as well as curve" his curveball, that is one weird pitch. Good luck CuHumber. Treat this as The Humber Games. Survive and take out your rivals. The Tank is back and hopefully ready to roll and rock. go White Sox!
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 11:16 AM) No one is drooling over a 28 year old with no position and no track record of hitting, other than a power surge last year in limited time against favorable matchups. BB probably would bc of the price tag and the upside.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 11:25 AM) Any trade value BL had we've now destroyed by 1) putting him in a position where it is very difficult to succeed; and 2) rewarding a somewhat "breakout" season of his by playing him even less. This isn't to say Brent doesn't shoulder some of the blame himself...he's feeling sorry for himself and trying to hit home runs most of his PAs to convince the coaching staff he should be getting more starts or to become so valuable that we have to move him elsewhere (which we probably should have done last offseason). His swing is quite long again. He still has trade value. I do agree that he should be focusing less on hitting home runs. If he just puts the ball in play he will get some infield hits. He has a little power but should focus more on utilizing his speed.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 11:08 AM) To be the "most asked about" implies nothing about what was offered (could have been very little from multiple teams) and to say he's "most asked about" White Sox sadly tells more about our offseason state of affairs than anything it says about Lilli. Yes, we don't know what was offered. But have to think that some of those teams envisioned him as a starter or playing more. I can look at the cuBS and he wouldn't be worse than some of their starters. maybe better if given the chance to play everyday. All that I am basically saying is that BL could be trading chip. He really isn't fitting in with this team. Robin is using Baby Danks ahead of him in the OF. he wants Dunn to play the field more also and that takes away from possible playing time for Brent.
  14. We do have one trading piece. BL. Yes, remember who kw said was the White Sox player most asked about in the winter meetings. it was BL. I know that he isn't doing much this year. however, guillen played him more often partly bc AD and AR were struggling last season. A lot of NL teams would love to have a guy like BL who can play a lot of positions. he even could start more on a lot of teams. I could see Beane drooling over a player like BL.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 08:33 AM) I'm hoping Ale' gets on that all-star final vote...he's probably been one of the best 10-15 hitters in the AL, if you consider his all-around body of work. Do you remember how we got Da Da? It was off of waivers. have to group him into the good moves by KW. like Thornton, Quentin, Humber. Inexpensive moves. Giving up nothing or very little and not paying a lot for these players.
  16. It is a team effort. S'ace has been a large part of our success. But we have gotten contributions from everybody. PK is hitting close to .400, Adam Bomb is adambombin'. De Aza has been a spark in the leading spot. If we didn't have CS, then KW could have made another trade for a starter. also Dr. Quin looks promising. also, Danks and Floyd and Humber are capable of pitching better.
  17. New forecast. Cleves loss. the White Sox first place party extends at least through Sunday. stay tuned.
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 04:25 PM) Gavin Floyd and Phil Humber Things going well now. Can Jordan Dunks play 3rd. He is playing like a .500 hitter. Glad that he went back to his high school swing (and I am not referring to a Texas dance).
  19. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 03:57 PM) Well, a six game sampling of what we saw in our first 38 games this year...an offense that isn't too explosive right now. For Chris SaKKKKe, score some runs. 48 pitched thrown by S'ace thru 4. He is looking fine.
  20. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) They'll do something, but I think it will be lack of trading chips that will not allow them to address the starting pitching problem adequately enough. I am rethinking this. if we were only to get one player, I would say get another starter. Only Sale and Peavy and Quintana are pitching well. and Q might go back to minors. And I don't know how many innings you are going to get out of Sale or Peavy. Rotation could get very thin by End of August if not earlier. Get a trusted starter and try Humber at long relief. Use Q as your insurance starter.Hope Danks and Floyd pitch closer to their career averages.
  21. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) I didn't hear it either, but Twitter is our friend in this case.... Chuck Garfien ‏@ChuckGarfien White Sox say it's tightness in both hamstrings for Viciedo. He was in pain on that hit. Get him some Gatorade. I'd say Danks probably gets the start in the OF today. Why not start BL? I know that is a righty. But isn't Brent still ahead of Jordan in the depth chart. Interesting the Astros starting pitcher is named Jordan also. We better win today at this rookie pitcher. counting on a good performance today from Chris S'ace for Chris(t) Sake. GF stuck out what 9 or 10 batter yesterday. would think CS can k more than that.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) 2 + weeks Alex rips another double. Oops I hit a double as well. Sorry. Carry on
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) 2 + weeks Alex rips another double.
  24. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) Worst production on left side in MLB by far! Oops. We gave them sex outs to work with. But now it our time for some Seventh Heaven.
  25. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 09:13 PM) Tank left with tight hammies... Well at least he struck out Bogus
