  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 07:23 PM) I know I'm going to regret this. What does TLB stand for? maybe i should put it ... tlb....the little bridge.
  2. Eight pitches from White Floyd. Three out. Sweet.
  3. No hits from the 2nd spot that I can remember. Just TLB got a walk yesterday.
  4. Beckham #2. well deserved 'line-up promotion'. lol. Well, the lineup changed yesterday maybe it will change again. Perhaps Robin Ventura first gives out a rough draft, thinks it over, then changes it and hands in his final official lineup. Escobar makes his 2012 debut. Floyd makes his 2012. Other players not seen yet...#65 Nate Jones (MLB/WS debut), KoFuku(WS debut), Crain and Stewart and of course starters Sale and Humber (both coming up very soon)....Reed has been used the last two game thus good chance Crain and/or Stewart makes an appearance. Ventura said Fuku is getting a start in Cleveland, but maybe he will pinch hit tonite. Just for the record, I am adopting Fuku as my 'fan favorite'. Thus, Go Fuku-do-me!
  5. Fister going on the 15 day DL. Bad news for the Tiggs. He is their #2. Baltimore guy has no-hitter against Minnesota. Blue Jays threatening again against Cleveland's bullpen (hahaha!)
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) I don't want to mess with Alex. Let's keep him in right and let him focus on hitting. Just asking. I don't mind either way. But I still remember those nice catches TLB made in RF in NY last year.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 08:27 AM) Alex is 3-7 lifetime against Harrison, and Lillibridge is 3-10...wouldn't mind seeing De Aza take a seat today and playing Brent in center. Why not Rios in CF and Lillibridge in RF if you sit De Aza? I agree with sitting the lefty De Aza. Already going to have lefties AJ and Dunn in the lineup. According to Vegas, we are huge underdogs in this game. Great game to make a statement. Underdogs, prime time ESPN, playing defending AL Champs in their ballpark.
  8. Sexy closer and I know it. Coy. That is a good word to describe Ventura. Starting to understand more about RobinBall. KW can be coy at times. No wonder why KW wanted him to be DA MANager. lol!
  9. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 10:11 AM) ESPN Sunday night game tonight. See you all behind the big screen We made to ESPN Sunday night game! We cannot be too bad or boring! Let us screwball the rANGERS tonight and win this series.
  10. Seems like there are a ton of ex-White Sox prospects/players out there: Hudson, Gio Gonzalez, BMAC, Boone Logan, Richards, Santos, Ryan Sweeney, Getz (lol!)
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Santiago knew. No question. Yeah but when? When he warming up tonight?
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) Cooper on the radio Friday made it sound like the players knew but they were not telling the media. OK, then was Robin trying to protect Santiago from the media? Guess I am trying to figure out why Robin or Cooper (or anybody) didn't reveal it (if they knew). Just to make it more dramatic? Ventura not into drama from what I see.
  13. So now a have a question? Did Santiago know that he was the closer until the ninth inning tonight? I don't think so. Yesterday he said something about just being told to warm up and be ready. I criticized Ventura on not revealing Santiago as the closer (when he was). Maybe now in hindsight Robin didn't want to make Santiago too nervous or think about it too much. He just threw Santiago into the fire and didn't let Santiago overthink or have a restless night. Or am I now giving Ventura too much credit? But , if the above is the case, that is pretty good managing.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) We could use Addison Reed in the same type of role the Tigers used J. Zumaya when he first came up. 5th-8th inning, and sometimes in the 9th even, when there's a tie game. Seems Crain will still probably be in his 7th/8th inning role. Ventura seems to know what he's doing, bringing in Santiago and leaving Rios in the game. Yeah, that is a good point about using Reed. However, I was thinking that Reed could get a chance here and there in save opportunities. Make him our insurance closer. And doesn't Cooper like having guys with defined roles in the bullpen. And since Crain is coming back from injury and might not be 100%.
  15. Wow, this really changes our complexion of our bullpen and team. As long as he does well, then Reed can become an awesome set up man against righties (and emergency/fill-in closer) and Thornton still is a good setup man against lefties. Then Ohman and Crain are decent for the 6th and/or 7th inning. Still not sure about Jones and Stewart. But they won't be used as much if our starters pitch well. Makes me feel really good about our pitching staff overall. And Molina has time to develop and possibly be a starter that we use later in the year.
  16. Thornton gets the win. Well deserved win! You struggled but still did your job tonight. Peavy kept us in the game with a quality start. Pitching has been very good overall the first two games. Now the hitting.. ...COUGH>
  17. Nice. RV finally names his closer without saying a word. And he moved out Morel out of the second hole. I have no major beefs with RV tonight. Congrats Ventura on your first victory of White Sox manager. Take that Nolan Ryan. Robin Ventura screwed your team over.
  18. We have a closer. We have a closer. The next Mariano Rivera.......HECTOR "Screwing" SANTIAGO.
  19. I just heard from my source that Nate Jones is our closer. Santiago is the decoy.
  20. Would be nice to get at least another run here. Somebody else hit a HR.
  21. Holy Rios! OK, I won't criticize for awhile...maybe tomorrow. Nice catches and a home run. Now RV has to reveal our closer.
  22. I don't know how he got into that mess. I don't know how he got out of that mess. Well, MT did his job. barely. Just score a run and then make RV ReVeal our closer....closer of the night.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) So, the Sox burn their backup OF's all at once, and thus have no one to PH for Rios? Yes, why not. It is the eight inning. Dunn and Konerko have been our best hitters. Get a runner or two on for them.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:22 PM) Viciedo should not PH for Dunn. He would have pinch hit for Fuku. Fuku becomes the pawn. haha!
  25. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) I don't think they had a lefty up Adams is probably a better pitcher than any lefty that they have. Then you could have used Viciedo against their weak lefty.
