Where's the Ranger? Are his hands ready for the season? To make a catch! Or to make an insightful post at soxtalk.com

How about the Lilli Stealth Elf Bridge?
-
Crain hasn't pitched in awhile...in a real game. I think since March 12. I think the White Sox and Crain are taking it slow which is the way to go. If Crain has to start on the 15DL ...mainly to get some work in and back in the pitching groove...I don't mind. Would give us a chance to try Reed as the rhph setup guy in the 8th ..help groom him for the closer position. Santiago has been a pleasant surprise. Bruney has pitched well. Thus, we probably would be okay w/o Crain for15 days at start of season.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) LB? Has that nickname been approved by Joe Cool Man? At first, I was like LB...? Shouldn't it be BL? Then, it made sense, LilliBridge, but it took a second. Good thing he's not from Long Beach or he would be LB from LB. how about lb ..use lower case for lil' bridge . he is a little bridge that plays with the attitude of a linebacker. well i hope.

Well Lillibridge at 3B seems interesting. Hope LB hits well out of the 2spot.

Nothing in that article says that Santiago is a closer candidate. It is just the reporter hinting at the possibility but has no quotes from anybody from the White Sox to back it up. Maybe they are considering Addison Reed as a closer and thus haven't made an announcement. Maybe they are trying to make a trade. Maybe they want an open competition until the end of spring training. Right now I believe that Thornton has to be the leading candidate to start the season as our closer.
-
In the mix right now means 4th option. Thorton Crain Reed Santiago That is how I see the closer options right now. Thorton's job for now. Things could change as the year goes on. We do have Ohman and Thorton as lefties in the bullpen, thus Santiago could eventually be our closer. But still Reed has a better chance than Santiago as of now. Santiago does have a fastball and a screwball. I at least see him being a decent reliever in our bullpen.

Reinsdorf key player blocking Moorad's ownership

I don't understand this thread. What does this have to do with the White Sox? Am I missing the White Sox angle. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 24, 2012 -> 07:31 PM) My question was, why move Viciedo away from RF when he is going to end up there in a couple years when Rios leaves anyway? Let the kid learn a position. DJ's answer was that Rios has more trade value in RF than in LF. lol. Like that matters at all at this point. Then he also said it's better if Viciedo is more versatile and can learn as many positions as he can, rather than just stay in one spot. Dumb, dumb answers. Yeah, lame answers. However, how do you know that Viciedo is going to end up in RF? A lot can happen in a couple of years.

We are winning! Maybe everything isn't perfect but good enough. Sale and the relievers were good enough.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) I really hope it wasn't Ozzie's family that knocked him off the wagon. Maybe Oney was closer to the truth in his tweets about Bobby...('ungrateful punk'). If true that Ozzie & White Sox protected him, well I don't see anybody there in Boston who is going to protect him. Also, remember when Ozzie asked (last st) who had Bobby Jenks phone number on their phone...believe it was nobody.

Interesting lineup. Is this a split squad game? Or did the rest of the team take the day off for some golf?
-
Quentin can still comeback. If he somehow stays healthy he might be able to pull out a year like 2008. Seems unlikely but still possible. Dude has been collecting various injuries. He is a 'hit by pitch' magnet when he does play. Lingering injuries and being hit a lot by pitches is not a good combo in baseball. Looking at this from a White Sox perspective...impersonal (b/c I like TCQ)...we cut ties at the right time. Probably got the most possible out of him. And we didn't overpay. Have to give KW a +1 on this one..from an impersonal baseball business perspective. Just looking at the numbers.
-
Wow, hate to read this. This guy definitely has some problems. From an impersonal baseball perspective have to say that the White Sox got everything they could out of him. Cut ties at the right time. Red Sox though have some problems here. Thanks Bobby for helping us a championship. Hope that your situation improves.

Since St. Patty's Day, we have been playing some good baseball. I have us at 5-2 including that game which was Peavy's gem. Some of our hitters are heating it up. AJ hit an inside the park homer. Dunn hit a couple HRs. Overall, have to be satisfied where we are at. Just waiting for the season to start. This spring training seems to take forever. Oh yeah, my hands are now in shape and ready for the season as well.

Don't worry about The Tank. We can always bench him in the beginning of the season for Mr. April. Konnicihwa. New motto for this team. If we don't score a run, we cannot win a game. Pitching is a go. Hitting isn't a go YET. But in time.
-
Pitching has been solid so far. If we don't give up a run, we cannot lose. That should be our motto.
-
Have to be happy with Mitchell's progress. Just hope that he keeps it up.

It was kinda nutty not to interview others even if Ventura was their first choice. At least to see what is out there. You never know. Somebody might had blown them away in the interview process. You don't lose anything by interviewing some candidates. However, there are no rules in hiring managers. Williams and Reinsdorf wanted Ventura and got him. Seems like Ventura is going to successful at this. I am hopeful. What stood out in that first article...four hour meeting. Four hour meetings don't sound like fun to me. lol.
-
Morel getting a chance to bat second. I like this lineup. Viciedo moved down in the order. C'mon Lillibridge .. be the biggest baddest 9th place hitter today....oh no Dunn at 1st. Just noticed that. Please strike everybody out Chris Sale.
-
I told you we are turning this around. Remember St. Patty's Day and St. Peavy's Full Kilter No-Hitter.
-
Remember St. Patrick's Day 2012. The day our spring training season turned around. Watch out Cactus League. We going to go from worst to middle of the pack.
-
Escobar would fit in. He could be backup 3B/SS and Lillibridge could be backup 2B/1B. Lillibridge hasn't looked too great at SS. Might not be a good position for him.
-
A no-hitter so far? I might be getting a delayed box score. If the Jakester is back, we are going to be super-awesome. If not, we just will be awesome.
-
We are getting rid of all of the suckage right now. Saving our good stuff for the real season. We still are 0-0.
