March 18, 201214 yr QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Mar 17, 2012 -> 11:57 PM) He's having knee surgery. So, glad he is gone At least Quentin plays hard unlike some members of his former team. Sad he got hurt. Can never fault his effort.
March 18, 201214 yr I will never fault Quentin. He's a good guy and busted his but. That one year where he broke his hand (which sucked cause he couldn't' control his temper) was a hell of a fun year. The guy was a machine that year.

Shhh....Alex Rios might hear you and be inspired. By the way, both Scotty Pods and Juan Pierre are fighting for the last bench spot on the Phillies. So you've got both of those guys and Thome on the same team...will you cheer for them or the Marlins more?

March 18, 201214 yr It's a shame this guy can never stay healthy. I'll never have anything bad to say about Q...he always busted his butt and played the game right. He "appreciated the game"....
March 20, 201214 yr QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) I can't even remember where CQ is now, what team acquired him. The disabled list.
March 20, 201214 yr The disabled list. I hope he gets a better deal than this: http://www.theonion.com/articles/disabled-...8-million,5338/
March 24, 201214 yr Quentin can still comeback. If he somehow stays healthy he might be able to pull out a year like 2008. Seems unlikely but still possible. Dude has been collecting various injuries. He is a 'hit by pitch' magnet when he does play. Lingering injuries and being hit a lot by pitches is not a good combo in baseball. Looking at this from a White Sox perspective...impersonal (b/c I like TCQ)...we cut ties at the right time. Probably got the most possible out of him. And we didn't overpay. Have to give KW a +1 on this one..from an impersonal baseball business perspective. Just looking at the numbers. Edited March 24, 201214 yr by sunofgold
March 26, 201214 yr QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) I was a huge CQ fan but this is exactly why we traded him. And why no one was willing to pay a huge amount to get him.
