  1. This also has to scare Rodon a little as well right, no way he can go back to college and risk a lot of money.
  2. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ May 7, 2014 -> 12:06 AM) Do they still do the BP cup? And if so, did we win? I don't know, and no, we need to win one more to claim that trophy. We got swept last year, 0-4 (though that sweep helped us nab the 3rd pick), tie goes to last years winner. It's sad the lame stuff my brain remembers.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 5, 2014 -> 03:16 PM) Hawks up 2-0 in series. Do you think the competition is weak this year and Hawks are guaranteed a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals? What you think? I was quite glad we got Minnesota in Round Two. Figured we'd beat them. Up 2-0 things looking pretty nice. No the competition is not weak, each team has strengths and weaknesses. No, the Hawks are not guaranteed a spot in the Finals. Give me Anaheim, then Montreal though. Yep, Minnesota is a decent team, but nothing special. Do not want Boston under any scenario. The Kings have that magic feeling (everything clicking) to them right now, they really need a loss soon.

While Guardians is in this wave of Marvel flicks, I think it will tie into Avengers 3 more than the second one. Thanos should be the main baddie in A3, unless they tweak the origin of the Masters of Evil, and have him lead those guys. For those that don't know the Masters of Evil were a bunch of bad guys joined together to fight the Avengers in issue 6, there have been many versions of this super team. They need to get Black Panther off the ground, that is a character that could be just as good as Cap, especially in the spy/ sabotage arena. He always was doing stuff to keep tabs on the Avengers, and get under their skin while being a good guy. If they could introduce Panther in the next five years, you easily could have Avengers 4 be Ant-Man, Panther, Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver, Vision, along with whomever else wants to be apart. Somebody mentioned (maybe not here) they have the movies lined out until 2028, I believe that. So many ways they can go. They have only just scratched the surface of where they can go.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) I think He man comes first. They tried to relaunch thunder cats a few years ago with a show on Cartoon Network and it didn't last long The show got the axe (along with a few others) were because of the man that was in charge at the time thought kids wanted more of those live action shows. A couple of the DC shows also got canceled like Young Justice, and the Green Lantern show also cause of this. Thankfully that man is gone now. I'm pretty sure there was going to be at least a second season, I believe it was already written. Also Mon*Star (the main villain from SilverHawks) briefly appeared in an episode and that led to rumors that the SilverHawks were going to be added into future seasons, have no clue if those were real or not.
  6. I'm thinking Scherzer is looking to get out of Detroit, someone will offer that contract and probably more, you sign it if you want to stay in Detroit for the next six years. Also Boras is his agent, so yeah, him signing before the power teams get a chance is unrealistic.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 20, 2014 -> 04:19 PM) I was at the game that Colon K'd Bonds in his first three ABs and then he hit one about 500 feet to RCF. I was at that game as well, I sat a few rows behind the Sox Bullpen. Rich Aurilia basically won it with a PH GS in the 9th, I had to look up who hit the GS but I knew somebody did. Colon was going good until the 9th.
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 06:37 PM) Tracy Ringolsby ‏@TracyRingolsby 3m (2) Taken off life support. Still alive. Miracles do happen. Let us pray. Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More Tracy Ringolsby ‏@TracyRingolsby 13m Jim Fregosi is still in a Miami hospital. He suffered multiple strokes. He has not died. Okay, thanks for the update.
  9. All I'm seeing on Fregosi is that he suffered a stroke a couple of days ago.
  10. And shoot some fireworks when the Hawks score a goal. =)
  11. Was thinking the same thing. This is very out of character for Kenny, he has rarely shown his hand upfront like this, maybe ARod when he was a FA, and Tori. Maybe it is just to drum up the Sox angle in all this with the Cubs Con this weekend, but few (Nationally) are taking them serious. Either way I'm pretty happy that they are trying to land him, it makes a lot of sense with Dunn coming off the books next year, along with a few other players. Only one team will get him, putting forth an effort is all any of us can ask for.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 14, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) So Jerry Reinsdorf was or was not there? I have seen conflicting reports. Wonder if this is the Sox way of trying to play possum.
  13. Yep, thought they'd run it a little longer but whatever, good call Row.
  14. I'm thinking Kane gets involved somehow, seeing they keep saying he is the only one that can open the door. That might lead to a Shield + Kane vs. Wyatts + Bryan match at RR.
  15. I think Deng stays right where he is at. LA has bigger prizes in mind (Love in 15, Durant in 16 I think).
  16. Bears pick 14, what position do you address (I know it is real early). I'm not a huge college football follower, and I know it is hard to suggest a player without knowing who is officially coming out, but those that follow any stud D-linemen worthy of that pick, what about Safety/ Cornerbacks. Those three positions are the biggest need right now, though Bowman played really well these last few months.
  17. The good thing is a lot of the defencive players we have have played down this year. Not one of them should get a substantial raise this coming year, maybe Jennings, Wootton, Bowman get more money, Wright and Melton will be question marks. Need to resign Gould and Slauson, and decide what to do with Garza. Nfltraderumors has a list of the top 50/100 players but I have no clue who would be good to pursue or not. I don't pay that much attention to stats.
  18. Bulls schedule before Trade Deadline, bold are road games. I don't see more than ten wins tops, unless they get their heads back right, and have no more injuries. This team is mentally toast right now, they are done, no Rose to the rescue this year, no rallying the troops, no stick it to the experts. These last few games (other than Hou) were our easy part of the schedule, and if not for a lucky 3 point shot they would have gotten swept. If they manage to make the Playoffs then it will be the biggest miracle ever, move over 80's USA Hockey team. at. Oklahoma City vs. Cleveland at. Brooklyn vs. Dallas at. Memphis vs. Toronto vs. Boston vs. Atlanta vs. Phoenix at. Milwaukee vs. Charlotte vs. Washington at. Orlando at. Washington vs. Philadelphia vs. LA Lakers at. Cleveland vs. LA Clippers at. Charlotte vs. Minnesota at. San Antonio at. New Orleans at. Sacramento at. Phoenix at. Golden State at. LA Lakers vs. Atlanta vs. Brooklyn at. Toronto
  19. I think Alshon is very shy, or quiet. They had one of the female reporters on CSN talk to him, and she mentioned that she was happy he opened up to her, because he is a quiet guy in the locker room, or something along those lines.
  20. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 12:19 PM) Both of those guys are gonna get paid big time. We'll see, I think these two are more tied at the hip than people think (I remember a few other folks suggesting the same). Both don't seem like money hungry people, and like I said Marshall wants the playoffs. And one more thing reasonable doesn't mean not getting paid, if some team is willing to go above and beyond than by all means do it.
  21. If Jay signes for a reasonable deal I think Marshall will as well. Both want the Playoffs, Marshall has never been to them.
  22. If you think HHH is the problem with the product then that is fine. The real problem will be, and always been VKM. What is HHH supposed to do when he gets shot down by VKM, or Vince changes the script right before Raw, on before the payperview, or when VKM still doesn't believe in Bryan cause he doesn't look like somebody that can beat up bigger guys. Vince is and will be until he passes away the problem with the WWE.
  23. IDK, I think they have a chance to be pretty bad by the trade deadline, the real deadline in all this. I did a quick schedule look and I think they'll be 20-32 by then. They have 14 games against the West in this time frame (plus the second West road trip right before the deadline) and they'll lose most of those. I really feel they will miss the playoffs, just not sure where they will end up (just get into the Lottery right). Once the injuries start to pile up (we all know they will if Thibs keeps playing folks 35-40 minutes in blowouts), Kirk will be out at some point, Deng will be out, Noah will miss a game or two. The only way they avoid all this is if Teague and Snell are above and beyond what most think.
  24. I think the problem with Bush is his lack of carries (42), this will be his lowest since his rookie year (95 carries). Not trying to give him an excuse but it has to feel odd being used so little this year, and as far as I know he has been relatively healthy.
