After tomorrow's game, 17 of our next 20 come against losing teams. Time to get back that double digit lead.
-
So yep middle of the order stepped up tonight, especially Everett. And MB carried on the recent great starting pitching.
-
Glad we got out of that one folks. Big game to win there with the Indians losing.
-
Wonder how Mark is feeling right now.
-
Here comes Hermy. Lets hope he doesn't keeep the ball up in the zone.
-
Nick Punto of all people.
-
Looks like the Crede banner worked.
-
Mark shouldn't of given him the fastball there. Oh well.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) If the White Sox don't make the playoffs, I think KW should be fired. To me there is no in- between. He is the Executive of the Year if they make it, and should be looking for a job if they don't. So while I'm not calling for him to be fired like the first post of this thread figured someone might, I think he still has some work to do, and if he can't get it done, they need to find someone who will. Who would replace KW as the GM? Anyways, this maybe just all a big knee - jerk reaction, and a couple months from now, we could be talking to each other as fans of the World Series Champions. I too would like to see people be a little more positive, but you learn to accept it ain't gonna happen, because well White Sox fans are mainly pessimists, not optimists, and that comes with the territory and what's happened in the past.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) I would take Jeff Kent because he would light a fire under some of these dead asses...I would mostly have him DH and spell Gooch from time to time. I don't think Kent would take to being the DH very well, he'd want to be in the field everyday. Could move him to 1st and Paulie to DH if he's re-signed.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) But it also balances out--because you can physically eat less of those deep dish pizza. A small is more than sufficient for 2-3 people. I think a small at a place like Giordanos runs about $13-15. I think. Yeah I've heard so much about the deep dish Pizza's from everyone here when a food discussion comes up, but sadly they don't have them down here. Although when I do visit Chicago for the 1st time, having a deep dish Pizza is right up there on the "To Do" pile, if you will. And on the Hot Dogs, they're not big down here at all either, not like in America. We had a few at one of the D-Backs games we went to, let's just say, the indigestion for the next 2 hours wasn't the greatest period of my life stomach wise. And yeah I have ketchup too, I'm not a Relish and Mustard person.

Yep, I'm gonna try this out tomorrow, see how it compares to Skype and AIM.
-
How much would an average Pizza cost in Chicago FWIW?

Things are getting pretty ugly between these two, Paul DePodesta's probably gonna hav to trade one eventually unless they can patch things up (which I don't is gonna happen with these 2 ego's.) Anyways, if the chance came that we could acquire Bradley for say an OF prospect (remember the Franklyn Gutierrez deal), or trade for Kent (where would he field though), would you do it? It's not gonna happen, but hell I'm just chucking up possibilities for the hell of it, to try and get this board going again.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) He carried us for two months? I don't remember that. I remember a lot of solo home runs. Just seems like he's faded. Great catch last night, though. It's hard to hate on a guy when he has 22 HR's, and a SLG of .474. Yeah he's streaky as hell, as fathom said, but I'm banking on the fact he'll finish up strong like the rest of the offense, because there's no way they can be as bad as they are now. Of course something to consider, Dye spurned a larger offer from Texas. They signed Richard Hidalgo. Let's just say he won't be back with them next season.

Stop with the FOCKING for the love of god.

From an outsider, Pizza without a doubt.

So why's it so bad? The offense that is. Well collectively, I put it down to 3 guys, Uribe, Crede and Rowand. Everyone else on offense has performed adequately enough, and these 3 haven't. And yeah I'll get flamed for saying Rowand because he's clutch right? Well I'm sorry, there's no reason to be clutch if you hardly get any RBI chances anyways. A .740 OPS is not good enough for an everyday center - fielder offensively. He's pretty much an automatic out right now. Looks like an SOS to Rafael Furcal in the off-season, unless a better solution via a trade can be found for 3rd base. I'm also of the opinion Everett needs to pick it up, even though August has been the 2nd best month this season for him.
-
Can the sky fall more than once? Can the offense continue to put up 0's for as long as they want?
-
Anyone who says out seriously needs to check themselves into a Mental Institution.
-
It just wouldn't be fitting enough without a Timo Perez AB.
-
Freddy doesn't deserve to lose. Stupid Twinkies.
-
At least he hit it out of the infield.
-
If that won't inspire this team to score some runs, I don't know what will.
