Agreed on Lee, if we can ship him out for a quality pitcher, we should do it. It fills a need, and we have a very able replacement in Aaron Rowand.

So her show's not like the OC?

Paul Konerko then? Depends what they do with Chipper Jones, he stays in the outfield, they'd want a corner infielder. He moves to 1st or 3rd, an outfielder.
-
We've got no alternatives to Cotts in our farm system. Vic Darensbourg was called up but that is not a long term solution, and Dave Sanders has been awful for Charlotte. I guess they could call up Arnie Munoz to the pen, but that's highly unlikely, plus the kid needs starts in AAA. Cotts was fine before we gav im a shot at the 5th starters job, he hasn't been the same since.
-
We should be very thankful that Minny hav got a very tough 2nd half schedule, because Johan Santana has been on fire in his last 3 starts and they've got a healthy Joe Mauer back catching and hitting. Cleveland signin Aaron Boone also tells you they think they can win this division, so it's pretty much a 3 team race. I think we all knew that this part of our season was going to be absolutely crucial. We just cannot afford to fall away from the Twinkies right now, and we hav to find a way to stay in touch. If that's gettin a Russ Ortiz type of pitcher added to our rotation then do it.
-
Ortiz is making $6,200,000 this season. I think he's on a 2 year contract into next season but I'm not too sure. Seemed to start off slow early but has turned it around in the last few weeks. Thing is, I don't know why Atlanta would trade him. They're only 5 games out of the division lead, Chipper Jones is startin to hit and they'll get Marcus Giles back. Paul Byrd just joined the rotation as well. If we can get him for a prospect or 2, doubt they'll take Reed or Borch although they might if they move Chipper permantly to 3rd and Rauch, then yeah I'd do the deal.

Hoopsworld analysis on our 3 teams, Boston: 15. Al Jefferson, PF, Prentiss H.S. (Miss.); 24. Delonte West, SG, St. Joseph's; 25. Tony Allen, SG, Oklahoma State; 40. Justin Reed, PF, Mississippi Thoughts: I like the choice of Delonte West and Tony Allen… a lot of people were very high on Al Jefferson, but I don't know that I'd have passed on some of the better options for him, but the pick is solid and now we will see what Danny and Doc can do with these guys, clearly the C's improved their core, they added some horses and you need horses to win races. Overall Grade: B Chicago: 3. Ben Gordon, PG, Connecticut; 31. Jackson Vroman, PF, Iowa State (Vroman was traded to Phoenix); 38. Chris Duhon, PG, Duke Thoughts: Its hard to say what the Bulls were thinking drafting all of the guards they drafted, but the acquisition of Luol Deng and landing Ben Gordon give them two very nice players, Chris Duhon comes into a situation he could thrive in if it weren't for Kirk Hinirch. With so much duplication in the backcourt, a major trade has to be in the works, or the Bulls are simply ready to let restricted free agent Jamal Crawford become a Nugget or Knick. Jackson "Vromy" Vroman was the only impressive guy in the Chicago Pre-Draft and given the no risk factor of taking him in the 2nd round, leaves the Bulls in excellent position. This was a very good draft, despite the duplication it brings to the Windy City. Overall Grade: A Orlando: 1. Dwight Howard, PF, Southwest Christian Academy (Ga.); 30. Anderson Varejao, PF, Brazil; 36. Antonio Burks, PG, Memphis (Burks was traded to Memphis) Thoughts: The Magic could not have had a better draft… Dwight Howard is a winner, and has enough upside to gamble on. The trade to land Jameer Nelson was brilliant, they got exactly the kind of guard they need, and Anderson Varejao is a nice player too. The Magic did very well last night. Overall Grade: A-

I will be enjoying watchin Doc Rivers TRY to develop these young players in Boston, because if they make ONE mistake, they'll become like Stevan Hunter and Reece Gaines and hav their asses riding on the pine. You guys didn't get Robert Swift. Taking two small shooting guards when you already hav size problems in the back court AND Paul Pierce. C+ at best. And no way Jefferson becomes better than Howard.
-
And I still hear Rick Pitino crying in Louisana.
-
Goodbye Hot Chick Thread, seemed to take care of the problem.
-
Can you say Mid Level Exception to New York if they don't sign Sheed.
-
Very happy with the Magic's draft. I would hav taken Okafor if we were going to keep T-Mac but long term Dwight Howard will definitely be a Kevin Garnett and not a Kwame Brown. The kid works his ass off. I want to know whether he'll be startin though, or will Drew Gooden start at PF if we keep him. Jameer Nelson for a future 1st is a STEAL, Nelson will be a Darrell Armstrong clone for us. We also got Anderson Varejao who was expected to go to Utah or Boston with one of their 1st round picks, almost a Nene clone with his heart and hustle. Good start for John Weisbrod.

ABoz defends all good lookin women.
-
Can't see Roberts fitting into our outfield, he's platoonin with Jayson Werth right now. Alvarez is a NL pitcher. Dodgers are more interested in Mike Sweeney even though he's got a higher salary, KC will prob accept less for him considering his contract.
-
We don't want to do a Jason Grimsley for Denny Bautista type of deal though. That'd be like a Brian Meadows for Felix Diaz.

Bulls trade future draft pick and cash to Phoenix
DBAHO replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I don't know if I can see Al Harrington fitting in with Scott Skiles either. -
Or Francis and Gooden would be traded to Washington for Gilbert Arenas and Kwame Brown.
-
This from the Orlando Sentinel, Basically the Orlando and Houston trade would go down. Then Francis would be traded for Ray Allen. Then Orlando trades Drew Gooden and Cuttino Mobley for Caron Butler. I don't mind the 1st idea, definitely not the 2nd one though.

And then Bird gets his man at 7 in Luke Jackson. If Chandler gets healthy, he'll dominate with Jermaine O'Neal and this trade will look bad for the Bulls I tell ya. -
Orioles or Blue Jays then? Depends if J.P Riccardi decides to hav a fire sale I guess.
