Q: Richard Smiley from Chicago, IL asks: John -- Thanks for doing this chat! The White Sox have 6 of the first 70 picks in the upcoming draft ... any idea of how they are planning to use those picks? A: John Manuel: Most clubs decide to overdraft a few players in those situations, where they have a "draft bonanza" . . . the White Sox could defray some costs with a college senior or two in that mix. I expect them to continue to blend, blend, blend, as Jim Callis would say, and take some college and high school picks. This draft is short on hitters so they'll probably go more for arms.

Andres Torres, was picked up from the Tigers AAA team about a month ago. He's leading off now instead of Nelson and hittin nicely for average. Pretty much sent Bikowski down with his performance. He's 25 or 26 so not much of a prospect.

Hopefully Bikowski can get more AB's than he's been gettin at Charlotte. Ulacia got called up pretty much because they need another lefty, I'm sure Baj will be up soon enough if he's impressin, but I'd leave him at Birmingham where he can save games while he can't at Charlotte at the moment unless sumthin opens up for him.
-
Relax it's only 1 game in 1 series. I know we all hate losin to the Twinkies but I'd rather lose to em now instead of later in the season when it actually counts.
-
Ouch. Great work Frank.
-
Wow big crowd in here today for the gamethread.
