MVP Baseball Preview Video
I used to play the Triple Play series a lil, but they weren't too good at all. MVP 2003 was a big step-up for EA last year, and MVP 2004 sounds like it could easily be one of the best games of the year.

Sox Top 30 Prospects
This has prob been posted already, but Reed was named the 16th best prospect from Jonathan Mayo from MLB.com, only White Sox prospect in the top 50. 16 Jeremy Reed, OF, White Sox (128) 2003 stats: [Hi-A] .333 AVG, .431 OBP, .477 SLG [AA] .409 BA/ .474 OBP/ .591 SLG ETA in Majors: 2005 It's hard to find anyone who had a better year in the minors than Reed did last year, putting him on the fast track to Chicago. He'll head to Triple-A, but could be ready to contribute this season if needed.

Also there are reports Brian Griese has been released by the Miami Dolphins.

Flying Under The Radar
If they r smart. They've overpaid tremendously for Mark Brunell, and they aren't goin to trade Patrick Ramsey. I wouldn't count out a trade yet, it could mean they don't hav to draft a Tommy Harris instead of a Sean Taylor or Kellen Winslow Jr.

Anyone know if Carlos reported today?
Optimistic Lee arrives, Carlos Lee reported to camp Thursday, the last position player to do so. He was asked where he felt the Sox fit in with Kansas City and Minnesota in the Central Division. "I think we are better," he said. "If we put everything together, we'll be unbeatable." … Right now, shortstop Jose Valentin will bat second against right-handers, behind Willie Harris. If a left-hander is pitching, however, Guillen is likely to put Lee in the second spot. Valentin hit just .131 against left-handers last season. … When Valentin saw the Sox would be playing the Montreal Expos this season, he thought it would be in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Valentin is from Manati, Puerto Rico and plays there in the off-season. The series will be played in Montreal. …

Possible Konerko injury:
Konerko article from da Trib, he'll be fine TUCSON, Ariz. -- The White Sox had their first scare of the spring when first baseman Paul Konerko was hit above the left elbow while taking batting practice. Relief pitcher Jason Grilli drilled him and he immediately grabbed his left arm while staggering up the third-base line. The Sox's worst fears disappeared, though, when Konerko was diagnosed with just a deep bruise above the elbow. "If it was the middle of the season, I would have been quicker to get out of the way or it would have nicked me," Konerko said. "It'll be fine in a couple days, just some soreness." Grilli was a Rule 5 selection last December from Florida and must make the team or be returned to the Marlins. He was visibly upset afterward in the dugout. Sox manager Ozzie Guillen made a point to tell him not to worry about it and not to change the way he throws. "He's a human being and you don't want to hit one of your players," Guillen said. "I just want him to do his job, get his work done and continue to go on."

TO not a FA
Well that agent's career mite just hav gone down da toilet. I think now Garcia is a certainity to be cut becuase the 49ers can't keep Owens, Garcia and Julian Peterson due to their salary cap problems. I don't think teams like the Ravens would be willin to pay a 1st round pick for TO either.

Last NBA draft
Easily da best draft in da last 5 years. 2 studs in James and Melo, while Wade, Hinrich, Milicic and Bosh will easily get in the all - star game sumtime durin their careers. There were a lot of good 2nd round picks as well, like Keith Bogans, Luke Walton.

Galloway for Keshawn??
Charlie Casserly doesn't want a 2004 2nd round pick, he's willin to take a 2005 2nd round draft pick so I wouldn't count out da Boys yet. The only way I can see Parcells taking a RB with the 1st pick is if Stephan Jackson or Kevin Jones slip down to #22 which prob ain't gonna happen. We only hav 5 picks in this year's draft so it's gonna be hard to move up and down da board a lot. Parcells will either go for sum size on the DL or even take a CB with their 1st pick, since they prob ain't gonna resign Mario Edwards. The most likely scenario is for Parcells to sign Duce Staley to a 2 to 3 year deal, and draft a RB like Clarett or Cobbs in the 2nd or 3rd round. And if the Redskins don't get Clinton Portis, look for em to trade a 3rd round pick to Cincinatti for Corey Dillon, I don't think Jerry Jones is willin to pay that high a price for a 30 year old RB.
