  1. Dude come on. You're arguing to argue. Your initial post didn't even mention Abreu until you started discussing fwar. The mvp of the team is Abreu and I will bet you $1,000 he finishes higher than Robert in the voting
  2. I think the Sox MVP leaders are Abreu and Anderson, not Robert and Anderson. He probably left a bruise on Laz Diaz's left shin
  3. I love the idea of deGrom. I just wonder of the cost especially for someone who's 32 right now
  4. I know RR won't do it and I know this is the 76th time I've said it, but McCann needs to play every day, whether it's C or DH. He is hitting the ball way too hard so consistently, especially vs LHP's, that it's asinine to not get him in there daily
  5. Didn't the Sox do this vs Bubic last time? Got 2 early and then nothing?
  6. That's fair, but they have enough gas with Giolito and Cease. Do you have someone in mind?
  7. Well of course there is *up to this point* What can save him is a short inning here next time out, but at this point he's going 18+ pitches per inning
  8. Another game where the SP probably isn't going into the 7th
  9. There's a thread for it. Discuss it there. Renteria has said repeatedly- paraphrasing- that he needs to suck it up. They had their chance to do that already and they didn't, so yes, drop it
  10. I didn't say they would. I said those 3 guys in some fashion will be traded for Gonzalez and bullpen help. For the record I wouldn't trade Kopech for Gonzalez, but Gonzalez is having a great year and keeps getting better + is on a very favorable contract, meanwhile Kopech is a giant question mark. Last year I would've laughed at the thought. I still wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't laugh at it anymore
  11. I wish we would stop talking about it. After Thursday they have 0 days off for the rest of the year. If it hasn't happened yet, it won't. Drop it
  12. I'm not ready to put Abreu in the top 2 of Sox hitters ever because he's had 2 really good years. I think he'll eventually end up as a top 10 hitter in franchise history & will get his number retired, however
  13. 1. Giolito 2. Keuchel 3. Marco Gonzalez 4. Cease 5. Dunning Kopech, Stiever, and Dalquist are all traded in some capacity for Gonzalez and bullpen help
  14. Get a W tonight and look who awaits a massacre tomorrow
  15. You clearly missed the point, but just so you know, your act isn't cool either
  16. Oh wow Rodon is hurt, how surprising
  17. I like him a lot. Who cares about homers in correlation to this conversation? If the Sox are relying on Madrigal for homers, 3 of the following like fucking died or something- Moncada, Grandal, Abreu, Jimenez, Robert. Watching Madrigal get on and flip the lineup card to TA has been fun as hell.
  18. Foster, like the rest of the bullpen, is unfortunately coming back to earth
