Giolito (3 - 2, 3.14 ERA) vs Bubic (0 -4, 5.46 ERA)

Sox will be looking to go 10 games over .500 today with a series win. Last time out Lucas pitched against the Twins (8/31) where he went 5 innings and gave up 4 runs (2 ER). We NEED Gio to go deep in the game to help give a depleted bullpen some rest.

Bubic last pitched against the Sox (8/30), went 5.1 innings, and gave up 2 runs. 

 

 

Really glad to see McCann catching today. I was worried after catching yesterday RR would put Grandal with Gio instead..

Wouldn't mind giving Abreu a day off sometime soon. He's played every game in this condensed season.

The guy is on a roll. Why take him out? The Sox have 2 off days this week. I am sure he will be fine.

Is Grandal batting right any better than Moncada batting right?  Thus deserving enough to bat 2nd?

They both take a lot of pitches and some walks. I don't see a problem with either being 2nd. This lineup seems pretty solid

Doesn't make any sense to not start a healthy McCann for Lucas' starts. The White Sox are 12-6 when McCann catches, 12-9 with Grandal starts,

Grandal should not hit second. Preferably, he shouldn't hit at all, but he definitely shouldn't hit second. Bat him eighth.
